  1. Nice, I'm 17 and just finished my Junior year in high school. I'm just starting my L28et swap into my '75 280z. Any plans with the motor/suspension?
  2. Recieved my Head gaskets, intake exhaust gaskets, and RCI 5-Point "Wrap around" harness today. Hoping to get the long block tomorrow or Sunday. More to come soon.
  3. I need the one that will let me run Supra injectors on my L-Series. When will you have some of those?
  4. Hey, I'd like an 11mm rail with a gauge. How much would that run me?
  5. Went out to the junkyard today and found a '80's Maxima and I'm going to try to get the rear caliper brakets off tomorrow. Why are these brakets important? They are what I need to convert to disks in the rear. It still has the complete motor also so I'm going to dee what I can grab off of it tomorrow. I also saw a 300zx (Z32) out there with a complete motor and transmission and suspension. I want to get the calipers off of that for the front brake and then I'm pretty sure I'll be set for brakes. Also got a package deal on 3 brand new head gaskets and 2 intake/exhaust gaskets for $55 shipped
  6. I'll take one of those harnesses and ECU's if you ever decide to get rid of them.
  7. Cool, I have a '75 also and I'm doing the same swap as you. I'll be watching for help with my swap
  8. Cool project bro, I just turned 17 Thursday. You should check out my build thread on my Z http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/92595-turbohls30s-75-280z/page__view__findpost__p__874129__fromsearch__1
  9. Haha, it's alot more to it. For the price of the 2jz swap I could have a 400hp L28. I'm just really want to get the Z running because it hasn't moved under its own power since I bought it and I need something to drive. The Suburban is getting floors and the BMW needs tires/fuel line.
  10. Nah, with the 2jz I'd still have to buy the $1,000 forward facing intake, turbo manifold, turbo, then wire in the Greddy E-Manage, fabricate mounts, and other little things. For the price of the intake I can get a complete L28et together and in my Z. Hell, once I get the long block from BluDestiny I'll have $250 in the motor and then I'd just have to buy the harness and ecu, wire in the harness, and do the other little things to get it running.
  11. Sold the carbs, manifold, and linkage for $650 plus a L28et intake manifold and accesories.
  12. I just turned 17 Well, I've finally decided that I'm tired of seeing the Z sit. So I'm going to do a L28et swap and get it running, because I get my license soo and I need something to drive that will get decent gas mileage. The plan is to swap the motor, swap out the turbo with a Garrett unit I have, put a 300zx turbo ECU in, and put some 440cc injectors and call it a day. If I can get it done for less than $2,000 I'd be happy and can still compete in the GRM $2011 Challenge. So if anyone out there has a L28et, let me know
  13. cpexcel- What wheels are those? BTW, Sexy Z
  14. Decided I'm going to pull the motor in the Z, clean-up/paint the engine bay, go through the motor, and put it all back together after. I want to get this done now so that when I get it running I don't have to blow apart into pieces again. My friend is going to paint the bay for me for $15/hour + materials, he painted his E30 BMW and it was amazing so I trust him
  15. mario_82_ZXT- That is alot of smoke for a one wheeled donut On the other hand, amazing Z
  16. Yes I actually just remembered that you had one. Just have to get more money because I just spent $150 on random stuff for school.
  17. Sick!!!! What are you going to do about a radiator?
  18. ^^(This is the direct answer to your question) I completely agree, the 240z springs on a 280z will not work. (This is an option to what you want) But if you put the whole suspension from a 240z it will work. It all depends on if it's worth it. For me it was, because my old 240z had all of the aftermarket suspension, so I just swapped the complete suspensions. Now if you do it the opposite way around you will have a 4x4 Z and lots and lots of positive camber (That's what happened to my 240z )
  19. I know for a fact that the complete 240z suspension will fit on a 280z because I did it on my Z.
