  1. I'm in the same boat as 240zboy, except I've been working on mine for 3 years. I also did what you did, immediately started tearing into things (I was 14 and curious) I've lost nuts and bolts, and rear brake parts, and other little things. I had to literally pay for my mistakes, and I didn't like it. If your Z runs, get it to where it's safe and reliable. I wish I would have followed my own advice! It takes time, and like 240zboy said, trick is to bum rides
  2. No, I have a 2jz-gte ECU. I'll take $175 shipped for it. It came out of a running car. I can give you pics too if you want.
  3. I have one but I'm in Florida
  4. Wow, that seriously suck. I'm doing a class called Street Survival and they teach you how to control situations like this. It's only $75 and you get a discount on insurance. My Z has blown struts, dry rotted tires, and an open diff, I'm definitely not doing anything crazy until I address those issues. On the other hand, I may need some interior pieces.
  5. Nice! I got my rust free 280z for $400, came with a complete 240z parts car. I'm in the progress of making 1 out of 2. Where in Central Florida are you? I'm in Daytona
  6. Haha, either way it was very interesting. Tony D, is the picture any better on the DVD?
  7. If some of you guys have already seen it, oh well watch it again because it's a great documentary. For those of you who haven't, watch it, it's a "must watch" video. Enjoy!
  8. Bought some parts, but can't install them because I'm on vacation in the Virgin Islands
  9. Another exotic car loses to another light pole. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2009/03/ferrari-crash.html http://www.tmz.com/2009/03/11/tapout-owner-dies-in-horrific-ferrari-crash/
  10. I wish I could find an unmolested 1200 up here in Florida, but everyone puts rotaries in them. By the time I find them, they're gutted, tubbed, caged, and have a Ford 9" in them already
  11. PR280z: Let me guess, they're all rotary powered?
  12. There's also Z Fever, but I can't remember where they are down south. Welcome to Florida, I'm in Daytona Beach about 4 hours from you. EDIT: They're actually in Tampa, here's their website http://www.zfever.com/

  14. Have you even attempted to search? I guarantee you there is a write up/build thread/info out there. There's ALOT of info on HybridZ.
  15. Sounds like a fun build, definitely going to be watching
  16. I'd imagine, it's a color that screams, "Look at me!"
  17. I'm seriously debating painting my Z this color LOL
  18. Well that sucks. I'm excited to see what it looks like now.
  19. Thanks, today I removed the hood and started removing the suspension so that I can swap the springs and paint the suspension parts. I removed the driveshaft also, but I'm going to stop there because I want to get the other motor together so that as soon as I pull the motor I can put the other in. There's a powder coating place down the street from where the Z is and I'm going to see how much it would be to powder coat the manifold, valve cover, suspension stuff, and maybe the wheels. More to come soon.<BR clear=all>
  20. Got my turbo intake manifold/throttle body/injectors/turbo distributor today Now I just have to go pick up my motor tomorrow and pay for the Z31 ECU and harness, and I should have the complete swap put together. This week I'm going to work on getting the motor in the Z out and get the head gasket and trans on the new motor. I have a feeling that I'm still going to be able to compete in the GRM $2011 Challenge
