  1. Thanks for all your replies. Gives me a good idea what they take. I thought 25% seemed a bit... insane!
  2. What commission do agents typically take on a home sale? I know the percentage varies, but I have heard that some agents/realtors can make upwards of 25%. Is that true? I always thought it was in the 6-10% range.
  3. I just like the commercial where it sounds like it has a V8 in it.
  4. It's amazing that someone, at some time, actually thought it was a good idea to put that car together in that fashion. I want to meet the man/woman behind the machine! Probably far more entertaining.
  5. VB, or Dragon whatever, are VW rear fenders that have been trimmed so that they conform to the Z car side profiles (front and rear). They are advertised as a 3.5" flare. They only flare the fender out ~1-1.5" beyond the stock arch. Knowing what I know now... I never would have bought them. A serious waste of $800. Just buy 4 VW rear fenders and cut away! Should save you $300+
  6. Waytek does sell them (I order all my wiring supplies and material from them), but there are minimum order quantities (22 for a 4 pin).
  7. I was directing that hypocritical comment at myself, not at the car/car owner You edited my post wrong: There's nothing wrong, in my opinion, with an SR swap. The E30 M3 just happens to be one of my favorite cars and I wouldn't swap an SR into it... ever. Doesn't mean I hate it. In fact... I admire the amount of work that went into that car. The SR just diminishes what value I would see in that car (does that make sense? It's been a long day! ).
  8. Where can you order Metri-Packs or Weather-Packs without a 20 piece minimum order? *Edit* You can get them individually at NAPA
  9. Does disagreeing with a swap make someone a 'purist'? This site is about Hybrid Z cars... not Hybrid E30 M3's.
  10. Bleh! The car looks nice, but I could never bring myself to do that to an E30 M3. That's hypocritical... Oh well!
  11. 1972_240Z, What, exactly, is your question? Do you want to know if we like them? That's personal opinion. If YOU like them... then do it. Huh? I don't think that the housings could be used and integrated with 'very little modification'. You MAY be able to remove the actual lights/lenses and fabricate a panel that would replace the original 240 tails. Trying to adapt the housings may end up being fairly labor intensive. If you have the skills, the time, and the desire... go for it! Would definately be a new look. That's not cool, man. He was just trying to explain that those lights are from an R32. YOU should care... so that YOU can get exactly what YOU are looking for.
  12. True. There is a flipside to that, however. If it requires THAT much work then the owner/builder may become overwhelmed by the scope of the project, not have fun, become frustrated and give up. Doing minor rust repairs and bodywork can be fun and a learning experience, but the ability to cope with a major rust bucket depends on the experience level of the individual. My Z required a moderate level of repairs and there have been times that I have truly regretted not starting with a cleaner car... and I live in California and have a California car! If I had started with one in better shape I would be driving that sucker right now. Just my $.02. You definately have a challenge on your hands, but challenges make life fun! Good Luck!
  13. McKinney makes one: http://www.mckinneymotorsports.com/products It's about 5/8 of the way down on the page.
  14. Man... I was checking out the engine bay of my 510 last night. It's tiny! The L20B looked big in there! Lol You should go for it! I think you'll go through alot of rear tires ( ) with that beast.
  15. There has been alot of work done to this car... and a funny story behind it, too. First Phase: Engine Bay wiring and, if necessary, engine/carb rebuild Floor panel patch (PO cut it out to clear the short tube headers) Interior freshen (RHD dash installed, gauges, carpet, door/side panels Wheels/tires (not sure what kind yet... I have to figure out what fits the BRE flares) Second Phase (MAYBE): I'll probably install an NA SR20 w/S15 6 speed and call it a day. My major goal is to drive the car on a daily basis.
  16. Thanks! It only needs to have some interior work and an engine bay re-wire to get on the road. The motor was advertised as 'strong running' so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
  17. Just picked her up yesterday: Fiberglass fenders, hood, hatch, BRE flares, RHD Coversion, Bluebird tail conversion, BRE front spoiler, and an L20B. The paint is about 3 years old and there are some minor blemishes but, as you can tell, she's REALLY straight. SHweeet
  18. Sounds alot like LA traffic... except there is rarely a 'sometimes' here.
  19. Haha... That was good! I thought he was going to put some glasses on and find out he was in the car with a dude!
  20. Came up for me. [shrugs] Looks good! How much did it cost to have the entire car blasted? What medium did they use?
  21. Heh heh... Kenny told me you were in there the other day.
