Ok, so i have this site on my "links" toobar in IE. up until a few days ago i was checking every day to see if the site was back online because i thought it was down(the link goes to the old forum page). So one day i decided to just type in http://www.hybridz.org and walla, the site was here, the link just changed. So, maybe if ts possible the link to the old page " http://hybridz.org/phpbb2/ " could just forward us to the new page incase some other people that always come here havent yet figured out the site still exists.
  2. id definatly be interested in a 351w kit. Ill send you a email.
  3. Ok, well i have a few idea's for a few of your problems. If header clearence is an issue, just buy a set of bbk 351w swap headers for the fox body. Second, the hydraulic clutch problem... http://www.autoworks.cc/65-70%20ford_hydraulic_clutch_kits.htm . Third,, wiring harness...painless makes a wiring harness for the 5.0 fords that would iliminate the old tired harness and keep everything very nice/professional looking.
  4. That is pretty cool. I was going to throw a rotary into my 72 standard beetle but it got stolen. i should buy another one.
  5. my 12a ran 260k kms before it died. The only reason it dies was because i beat the living shit out of it and accidentally let the oil run EXTREMELY low. Rotaries are awesome engines. Infact, my next project will be rotary powered
  6. does binding sound like rubbing? because my first gen did it all the time. it pissed me off.
  7. Alright thanks guys. Man i love this place. Every site that i posted this question turned into a bitching match between 3 or 4 know-it-all's. Glad to see there is atleast one mature site to post these days.
  8. im saying that is the rear end that im using, so it has some stuff i can work with.
  9. Ok, so i did some looking and the rear on the rx7 is a Live Axle, 4 Trailing Arms,Watt linkage, coil springs, anti-roll bar. the only thing that i dont like, but could just fab something up to fix, is the shock and spring are seperate. i would like a coilover in the rear.
  10. Ok, so, ive been doing some thinking and, i may take it to the drag strip once or twice, but what im really looking for is an autox car. Something that will handle wicked with decent power(13b turbo rotary). Now, i am going to take the solid rear axle from a GSL-SE rx7 and put it in place of the stock rearend. Being that i have owned and parted out my first gen rx7, i know how the rear suspension of that car wokrs which im not exactly happy with it. I would like to shave off all the mounting points and start over. I want to put in a 4-link with coilovers. Would this handle well? really, i know shit about the installing of this stuff, so im probably going to be letting someone else do this for me, but i want to have a plan ready.
  11. Yeah, thats why i was thinking of installing a 4 link setup.
  12. mostly im looking for ride quality. i HATE bumpy rides. How does the truck ride with those?
  13. Ok, so i found my new project car. I dont want to tell everyone what it is just yet, because it not mine yet. I was just wondering, how good is a leaf spring setup for street/strip. i was thinking about maybe a 4-link setup but im not sure where to look for info and/or pricing. Any info on a leaf spring setup would be nice along wiht some info on converting it to a 4-link
  14. I like it. The only thing i miss is the part that scrolls down the side showing the most recent posts. Anyway, good work guys
  15. What happened was really shitty and i agree that it was totally wrong, but i dont agree with your statment that us "youngsters" are the ones doing it. Age doesnt have anything to do with a persons morals.
  16. this may be a dumb answer, but did you disconnect your fuel pump too? if not, then fuel was being pumped into the engine and that may have caused the backfire.
  17. It wasnt a roller. i had just attatched a 1"x2" steel tube to the floor of he car, and put a wheel at the other end. I did that on all four corners so my buddy could move it if he needed to. I doubt it will be found, but either way, i will buy a new one. This time, it stays at my house.
  18. oh yeah, and the worst part...no insurance
  19. Well, i was broken into and my72 240 is now gone. thats right gone. I had decided to put the project on the back burner because of some family issues that came up, so i put it in my buddy's storage yard. Well, no only did they get a rust free shell, they also got my r200 and a set of rims. Damn theifs. Seriously, im about to cry. i put so many hours of sanding into it.
  20. also i found this http://www.buysell.com/showad.asp?id=28761856
