  1. I'm trying to find the part number or even name of the pin that goes through the control arm and the knuckle it has two nuts and a retaining pin. This is for the rear.
  2. I've only driven clutches my whole life but I had to switch to auto after using the Mcleod Twin plate. That thing grips and grips hard. Let me know if you're interested and have 2 peice rear main and a t56. That things good over 800hp. Right now I'm doing an LQ9 swap I'll try to post as many pictures as possible but it looks like you might need a cowled hood to use the standard intake. This is a great option though in my opinion since LS2's LS1's and LS6's go for so damn much. I got this 40,000 mile 6.0 with an ECU and harness for $1250. Only down side its not an iron block, on the upside its the block all the turbo guys use.
  3. I'm in the middle of my swap right now, its actually an LQ9 (possibly first one?) same as an ls1 but with more nitpicky problems. Once I get the headers in the mail I'll let you know how things work out but I bought some universal mounts for less then half the price of the JCI ones. It takes some cuttting and welding but in the end I'll enjoy the saved money.
  4. I havent messed around with breaks very much yet so I'm wondering if it would be ok for me to swap z31 hubs onto my car when it has the MML rear disk break package for 4 bolt. What rotors would I buy? Would the calipers still line up? I plan on buying some 16x9's off of Diamond Racing Wheels and hope to fit some 255's in the back which shouldnt be a huge issue with my coilovers.
  5. Hey do you know Gator519? Jon linked me to a vid of your car a while ago, I'm one of his friends.
  6. DAT-103 Spacer, Aluminum (1-1/16" thick) DAT-104 Spacer, Aluminum (2-1/16" thick) DAT-101 Set Back Plate, Passenger Side, aluminum, 1/2" thick DAT-102 Set Back Plate, Driver Side, aluminum, 1/2" thick And the rubber mounts, it looks like I'm missing the washer on the one but shouldnt be too hard to find. I do have a modified tranny mount too if you have a T56 bolted to it.
  7. I'll sell you the motor mounts for cheap, I have 1 extra set. Advice? Clean up your engine bay. make SURE you have a balancer for your engine hoist.
  8. I think people should know about this. For those who dont know I bought Owens motor last summer. In the process of putting in a new transmission we pulled the motor and decided to take a look at what was inside before taking it to the engine dyno. Things didnt look good, hyperutectic pistons, scat crank that wasnt forged. Then we started taking things out. Berrings with DEEP groves in them, ones that could of only got there from sand being there durring installation. Basicly every sign of poor engine construction was shown in the disassembly. I pm'ed Owen letting him know what was going on and he instantly responded letting me know he would make things match as they were advertised, just send back the old parts. I'm extremely impressed and appreciative of Owens responce in this situation, with so many scammers out there today its nice to know there are still people you can trust. For the record if anyone happens to know who built his motor do not go to him for any work.
  9. Owen to save some money the LQ9 is much cheaper and can use all the LS1 parts. Only differance is that it has an Iron block and lower compression. Do a car-parts.com search for 2003 Escalde engines, you'll probably have to put in a ls6 intake to make it fit under the hood though.
  10. Sorry to Rez such an old thread but can you just use LS1 Adaptors on JTR mounts to make this work?
  11. Thanks for all your help guys, to save money I've decided to just put in new forged pistons and raise the compressoin up to 10-10.5. The current ones are Hyperutectic so I dont want to risk boost and shatter something. http://www.performanceauto.us/store/product_info.php?cPath=2_18&products_id=475&osCsid=abab7385ac71e83f823b64960d652869 shooting for 500 hp.
  12. My friend did the math again 8.6. I'm in the market for a supercharger and quick
  13. Bumping this thread cause I need to buy a charger for my Miniram II'ed setup. Could someone let me know if there are any affordabe ATI or vortec kits that will fit without bashing the strut tower, or even with minor modification.
  14. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/khartnett232402/home.htm This guys got deeper dished pistons 19cc and stock LT1 heads 67cc and hes getting 10.95:1 My friend who I trust has been doing 99% of the work on this car and is also an automotive engineer is calculating mine to be even higher then that motor. Heres a article from Streetrodderweb.com "Prior to our arrival, Hye-Tech had assembled the Eagle SIR 5.7-inch I-beam rods to the Keith Black hypereutectic 197 pistons. With their 12cc dish, they yield a 9:1 compression ratio with our 76cc head chambers--perfect for current low-quality pump gas." So larger chambers and same dish = 9:1 http://www.streetrodderweb.com/tech/0205sr_puller/ http://www.flatlanderracing.com/kbpistons_383.html This says @ 63cc head with 12cc dish you'd get 10.3 and with 76cc you'd get 9.1 http://www.cnc-motorsports.com/product.asp?ProdID=8072 And this says with 64cc 9.5 with 76cc 8.6 No ones numbers match!! GAQhh
  15. I've done about 5 different calculators and they all give me different numbers Heads are 70cc http://www.performancecenter.com/autoparts/edelbrock/edl60739.html Pistons are dished 12cc 4.03" bore 3.75" stroke Standard autozone felpro head gaskets. I'm getting numbers from 10.2 - 8.7
  16. http://www.racingjunk.com Look up Datsun and you can see some pretty damn fast v8 Z's and their prices.
  17. Owen me buying that motor was supposed to fund your insaine new project!
  18. I guess I'll use this as an opportunity to sell mine, I've got a JohnW one that I'm thinking about selling if anyone is interested.
  19. Got mine today, thanks man it looks great. Do you have one more? I like the seat idea.
  20. It looks like he did judging by the pictures i've seen, there some weld work right at that point. This looks like it would work but I cant afford 3800 bucks for it. http://www.racingjunk.com/exec/ca/view/546084/PROCHARGER-FORWARD-MOUNT-F2.html
  21. I'm looking for some information from people who are running centrifical superchargers. Specificly people who didnt have to bash out their strut towers at all. Any information is appreciated.
  22. Let me know how it works out for you, I'm still trying to decide if I want to risk buying something not knowing if brackets can be made to fit my application. If anyone has a procharger fit into their engine bay without strut tower bashing please post pics and mabey dimentions of brackets. **** it I'm going to start a thread to oust procharged people.
