  1. That looks like a great idea. Any info on what you used for the tubes?
  2. I'm interested but I need to see some pics to see which flairs you have.
  3. Looking forward to my next time up here. Ran off at the end of one, slick tires, greasy track (track temp was 160 yesterday) and bone head driver. I cut the left front tire on something. Still holds air but it aint pretty. I'm done. I rented a garage space for the weekend. It made the weekend much more enjoyable. Check them out nest time you guys are up here. Back to work tommorow.
  4. Post when you plan to be back up here. It is a FUN place.
  5. I'm here with Chin Motorsports for a full course event. Lots of great cars. Nice and hot. Forecast is for a high of 95. This is a great way to spend the 4th, fast cars, beautiful place, VIR chicken salad sandwich and wireless internet. THe car is running great so far. New short block and heads have been reworked. Just need more tire.
  6. Have you driven the CTS V? I had one for about a year. I loved it and still miss that car. Looked great, I liked the ride and it did things that a 4 door shouldn't do. They can be found for mid to high 30's if you look hard. Fun, reliable, and don't attract the attention from local law enforcement that the others do. I could have a ball on the track with one of these. Which is one of the reasons I sold it. Too nice to track.
  7. JB, glad you had fun. The weather can be brutle down there. I'll be at VIR July 3 and 4. Do you have any more track days planned?
  8. He's using a c5 cluster. Relabeling wont work. Got any pics of that cluster in the car? Good luck with the hunt for the proper sender. Have you considered using a plastic tank from summit or jeggs and cutting out the spare tire well? Alot of work to get the sender to work but if you were going that route eventually it would be one solution.
  9. I think the best way to keep it from rusting is to sell it to me.... Of course I'm kidding, If the factory tar pads are not lifting at the edges, I would leave them. I know most will disagree with that but on the several cars that I have removed the stuff on, If it was still sealed well, the metal looked great under there. Keep it clean and dry. If you have a leak at windshieldcowel like the Z's tend to do, get it fixed. Inside the doors, make sure the drain holes are clear and all the dirtdust that holds moisture is cleaned out before you paint. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is to keep it my garage.
  10. I've got some stuff for sale. 90 bucks for this. Master is from NAPA less than 6 mo old. 15/16 size. Booster worked when I took it off the car. Proportion valve is included. http://album.hybridz.org/data/500/medium/P10100031.JPG
  11. Suspension and brakes then enjoy it and drive it.
  12. Nice job. I would have bet on a glitch or two in a 35 year old car. Nice to hear it was pretty much trouble free. Got any pics of the car?
  13. Jamie, lookin good! Mike, when are we going to the track?
  14. I'm cleaning out the garage. Everything must go! If you see something you want and you think I'm charging too much, make me an offer. ls-1 small diameter crank pulley http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=2504 Camber plates http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=2563&cat=500 Brake booster and master cyclinder http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=2562&cat=500 More stuff to come.
