  1. But it makes the wife happy and that is priceless !!
  2. The Viscous part of the diff is sealed. You can't change to a different oil. It is filled with some kind of silicone fluid. I have the Q diff in my Z and I have never noticed it doing the one wheel burn out in DE events. I usually run about 30 minute sessions and have seen two stripes thru the turns at the end of the session. I would like some info on the cooler and pump you are using if you don't mind.
  3. New brakes were the eradispeed stuff. Just got it back together with a 2 inch front and 3 inch rear drop. Looks mean, should stop great now. Have to see tommorow. Too tired tonight.
  4. Changed the brakes on my wife's Denali. I wondered why I was groning lifting the tires back on the truck. (optional 20 inch wheels)
  5. Mikes right. above 140 my car starts to move around alot. The front end gets light. I have seen 145 and maybe alittle above but my balls ain't big enough to go for more like the car is set up. I'm sure the car would do 160 with the right changes to the front end and maybe a rear spoiler and definatly a different driver.
  6. Use a good penitrating oil. Works better than WD 40. Apply every day for a few days and then try a good pair of vice grips on the nuts. It will ruin the nut but you are not going to be reusing them anyway. As far as the lines on the car, you can either replace with new stuff or you can buy a double flair tool and reflair the old lines. If these are the front lines and just the short hard lines (6 inches or so) were cut that go from the caliper to the flexiable line you can just replace it all (rubber line and short hard line) with braided SS line. Got a pic?
  7. John, Toot away. I've always like those wheels. Thanks
  8. Thanks for the compliment Richard. The car started life as a 72 240 Z. Hope it stays that way:)
  9. I think I'll stick with CCW's. I coould buy several sets for what one set of Fikse's cost.
  10. Nice lookng Z. Mustang is not to bad either.
  11. THe tires on it now are a bit skinny. Still thinking about wheels. I'm leaning toward CCW's. What do you think?
  12. Well, I figured if I was ever going to drive this thing, I needed to stop spending 15 minutes a day working on it and get some help. Went by the shop today and the progress look great. I was very pleased so far. They have had the car about 4 weeks and are using it for fill in of there regular schedule. At this rate another 4 weeks and they should be finished with the body work. Cage is next.
