  1. I have the rack mounted in my 72 with John;s cars ls1 mounts. I did have to use a smaller crank pulley to clear the rack but it will work. Mark
  2. What year is your car. On the 240's one of the tie rods has reveresed threads. I can't remember which one now but I think it is the drivers side.
  3. Turn 10 will bite you. I've seen lots of bent metal and broken plastic at that spot. I ALWAYS dial it back going thru that turn. Probably get rear ended there one day. Can't win. Mark
  4. I would be forever grateful if you would do this. I did report this info to my CC company. They were not real interested in having his cell number. Mark
  5. What would I turn him in for? This is so common that I really don't think it would help. I spent 30 minutes on hold trying to talk to my credit card company and never got thru. If my credit card co. can't offer me any better service than that, what's the use. I may try again today if I have a free hour and pass the number on to them but it's a cell number so I doubt they would spend the $ to find him when he hasn't made any fradulent charges to my account. Let's just make him miserable. Mark
  6. I've got to talk to him about 75% of the time. He wasn't to happy at 6:30 this morning.
  7. People suck... Mike Hey, I resemble that remark
  8. Call the scum and have some fun. So far I have tried to sell him some natural male enhancement (his girl friend asked me to) told him some one was coming thru his window, and have asked over and over for Mary and Joe. Next on the list is aluminum siding and windows and cemetary plots. Those will be crack of dawn calls. Mark
  9. I don't think he has caller ID on his phone because I have called numerous times and he is clueless. Mark
  10. I've had my card companies call me before to verify large purchases I have made. When I started asking him for his info he got very pushy and said fine I could pay the charges. Then I said let me call you back and he hung up. Caller ID is great, I'm having fun "bothering" him. I'm looking foward to 3am when I can call him some more. Mark
  11. I just got a call from the "fraud unit at visa" The guy was fishing for data. I caught on real quick he was not for real and did not give him any info. Short story is I have his phone number and I have been calling him and leaving messages on his cell. If you would like to join in Please call 646-388-4715. Also feel free to spread the word on other boards you frequent. Mark
  12. Do they make those glasses for those of us that can't see up close any more? A set of those with 1.5 magnification lenses would be great.
  13. will it go together off the car?
  14. Would it not open or would it not work correctly with you radio?
  15. Take it apart, clean it, replace the washers or put it back together with you favorite gasoline safe gasket goo on the washers
  16. Try this http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/mm_gallery.php?album=2005+Modern+Motorsports+Prototype+Control+Arms+Proven/&PHPSESSID=23fadc051b4b5255a9c579d8fd2a90ed
  17. I'll share an email I recieved from Ross a few days ago. I'm ordering a set. Control arms were pushed as hard as our nerves allowed us to push Ken's supercharged Z at the 1/2 mile high bank oval and then at the Georgia SEZ drag's. Group that designed and fabricated them does this for a living and is all AWS certified etc etc, they're plenty strong:) I've got a queued list of prepaid orders as a result of the well received interest in Florida to ensure their order timing from the first run. They're $595 a set, fully adjustable on the car with the benefits of full adjustment but no detriments of heims (we can do them with heims for diehards that insist on them). They should come out in a blue powdercoat in final production, expected to be about 3 weeks right now. Ross Corrigan Custom Brake/Suspension/Powertrain Solutions for your Z! Modern Motorsports Ltd.
  18. I'm running a suspension technique's bar that mounts from the front of my 73. I had to get the adjustable end links from top end performance to clear the CV 's. It's close but it does not hit anything. Numerous track days and all is OK. Mark
  19. Unless this will be a car that is used at the drag strip ALOT, I would go with an R-200. This is from the guy that has been runing the r-230 longer than anyone else here. I've used the car extensively on road course events and it works great but it is not needed for the stuff I do. The car I'm working on now, a dedicated track car, will have an R-200 with a quaife or nismo lsd. My initial reason for doing the swap is that someone told me it would not work. That and I was looking for a cheap option for an lsd. I found out that swap is anything but cheap. It would be easier and cheaper now because Ross and others make the parts to adapt the CV's to the stub axels and Dave at Arizona Z makes a nice mustache bar that is drilled for the R-230 and will soon be making a rear brace that will allow you to run the finned cover that comes on these diffs. I'm not trying to discourage you from doing the R-230 swap. If that is what you want or need (drag car) then have fun and go for it. Other wise the r-200 would be my choice. Mark
  20. My sympathies to both families. Sad times.
  21. try spear tech for the harness. They did mine, nice and simple. If you are using the t-56, an aftermarket electric speedo will work with the stock t-56 sensor on the tranny. Very easy to wire. Spera tech will pull out a wire in the harness for this if you ask. Mark
  22. My vote is air pressure. Need to know what pressures you are running to make any recomendations. Is this on a Z? My kumhos wear like that when I run the pressure a little low. I added a couple of pounds, now wear is more even. Mark
  23. Got a buddy that tows a C5 and a featherlight open trailer with a pathfinder. No problems
  24. Remove the interior trim around the windows. There are 4 (I think) small phillips head screws that hold the frame in place. Remove these and pull out the window. Mark
