  1. There's also an imitation thing out there that acts as an amplifier for your H4 bulbs, its shaped like a cylinder, can't remember the name. Look in a Turbo mag in the ads section. They're only like $200 and I hear they work really well. Owen

    neon lighting

Geez Tim, Give the guy a break! He thinks it might be cool (although I would not either) I did wrap my gauges in flexible neon wire, I can't stand white gauge faces myself but wanted some more color than the little rubber things Autometer gives you. http://www.v8zcar.com/s30z/gauges2.htm I say if you think it looks cool, give it a try, just remember the warnings about red and blue lights on the front and back of the car! Owen
  3. Man...talk about pressure. I haven't even driven it out of the neighborhood yet! Owen

    graphics update

We should take a poll on this, hats, shirts and stickers were made with the current logo. And some people are still buying the stickers. It'd be cool to see some of the designs people came up with. Maybe a single page where they can all be seen together? Owen
  6. Everything mentioned plus power windows and doors. It's hard to reach over to the passenger window handle when you're strapped into a harness! Owen

    HALTECH E11?

I still need to sell my E6K...any takers for $1100? Email me off line. Owen
  8. What if a wideband O2 is used? Won't that read a much broader range? Owen
  9. Not all the sensors put out the same voltage, even from the same manufacturer there are going to be differences. Read Pete P's information on calibrating the Autometer gauges. Here's what I got back from Gadget Seller. ------------------------------------------------- Owen, The rectangular gauges will all work well at both full throttle and while cruising. They are full range gauges unlike the narrow-band modified Autometer gauges. Any O2 gauge will work with the gauges. The existing sensor in your car is usually fine. If you do not have a sensor, I would suggest a Bosch or any reputable manufacturer. The gauges I sell will not disrupt the signal from your O2 sensor. You could connect 5 of the gauges to one sensor if you wanted. You do not need a seperate gauge for the gauge and the car's computer. ------------------------------------------------- Don't really believe the statement about 5 sensors...cars are like computers, everyone has a different opinion on the best setup. I think one day I'll get two of these gauges and two sensors and put one in each bank. Owen
  10. Thanks John We ain't got no OC phone books here at the office in Torrance. Owen

    Fiberglass

Cool, I've been to that site before and they have a lot of stuff! Billy, get that Competition Car Composites book or whatever it's called, there's a post today in another section. I have it and it's great for beginners and tells you how to do things as well as the difference in resins, cure times, types of glass mat, etc. Owen
  12. Sounds like an awesome project, good luck! It's saddening that there are rules to prevent the use of certain engines and makes...I know these rules are there for many reasons, but what about a no-rules category for the low(er)-buck racer? A category for people like those on HybridZ who aren't bound to petty rules such as same car/mfgr, displacement rules, etc! Owen
  13. Hmmm, just found this site yesterday, http://www.gadgetseller.com/gauges/home.htm , meters modded for WOT instead of cruising speeds, I wish they had a combo one. These things are fairly cheap and have a small mounting area, maybe I'll get one for each exhaust bank. Owen
  14. My Craftsman wrench set came with a 20mm though... for the sockets, is it just Craftsman or all makers??? Owen

    Fiberglass

"Shape and mold the fiberglass while pouring it" I think all you do is pour the fiberglass RESIN. Any shaping would have to be done first or on top of the resin after it has cured. As mentioned above, shaping would be done by laying bondo or glass mat, etc. and then pouring resin over it. Tho if you made a 3D curve and poured resin on it, it would naturally be thinner in some areas where the resin would run down. You'd have to be careful here when sanding. While we're on the subject...what kinda resin, marine use? Anyone know any suppliers in the So Cal area? Thanks, Owen

    Fiberglass

Matt, So your method was to cover the box with resin instead of laying layers of fiberglass (ie making the box itself out of fiberglass)? Any pix? Owen
  17. Cool, fender welting...anyone know a So Cal supplier? Thanks, Owen
  18. John, Where do you get that welt stuff? I have 245/55's on 17x9s and I need to trim the front spoiler too. Owen

Also has some clips of the Z33 race car making test runs at the track. Haven't tried to copy this yet, so who knows.
