  1. Metric to SAE http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=138782#138782 Owen
  2. Some people were asking about these recently. The ones I got from Autozone are, P/N 27851. Owen
  3. What year Silvias? Are these JDM or are you talking 240SX? They should work the Silvia and 180SX (240SX) are essential the same for the same performance level of the car. Info I have is S13 CA 250 x 18 mm SR20DE/DET 280 x 22 mm SR14 SR20DE 252 x 20 mm (reduction is size, weird???) SR20DET 280 x 30 mm SR20DE M/C 257 x 22 mm Oh wait, Ross' kit uses Z31 solid rears don't they? Those are 290 x 10 mm So to answer your question, maybe they won't work because of the thickness of the rotor? Owen
  4. Sweet, are you using the stock wiper or doing a full swap with the Maxima assy? Owen
  5. Hey Jeronimo, I checked my wiring and here is how it is hooked up. ORG/WHT - NOTHING ORG - LO BEAM RED/BLK - +12V RED/WHT - RED/WHT - NOTHING RED/BLK - NOTHING RED - +12V (for head lites) RED/YELLOW - HI BEAMS GRN/BLK - +12V GRN/YELL - LEFT TURN GRN/RED - RIGHT TURN Hazard assy. Looking from above, theres a two pin terminal on the left of the switch and a four pin on the right. At this four pin terminal, I have: Far left - nothing 2nd from left - +12V 2nd from right - Left Hazard Far right - Right Hazard I hope this makes sense without pictures, and I only had one ORG/WHT wire??? Owen
  6. Thanks Scottie, I have mine the same way, I was just wondering whether the original distribution block is still necessary. Mine seems to be plugged up or something Owen
  7. Yeah, those people at Haltech USA really suck big time. They were like "...duh???....". I've worked with Hatech AU via email and phone and they were a great help. For me also, turn around time for a busted unit was like 2 weeks. My E6K is still for sale, nudge nudge. Owen
  8. Autozone has metric to sae adapters. Scottie, How did you route the lines? Is your front-brakes tube from the M/C going straight to the line lock? And your rears, they are still going via the stock proportioning valve mounted on the frame rail? I think it's a p-valve, although my car also had one mounted on the firewall. Owen
  9. I'll have to check on that, I have most of the wires written down somewhere. Let me get back to you. Owen
  10. Tim, is that a restoration you're working on??? j/k I'm in the 714, Huntington Beach. We're all pretty much an hour's drive away from each other, except for the San Diego guys. Owen
  11. Anyone know a good cheap source for the rear hatch inner and outer seals? Owen
  12. I don't know what year they were, it was a long time ago and the info was on zcar.com Owen
  13. Anyone have good instructions on the proper way to adjust and shim a starter? Thanks, Owen
  14. With my Hyundai stuff, I don't have to slam the door, and I can get the door fully flush with the body. Owen
  15. Hmmm, I almost feel like abusing my current engine and blowing it up, just to get a rotary! OWen
  16. Everyone of my friends I've talked to say "NO" to the rotary motors. Why? Because they say they're unreliable or too peaky or the apex seals go so fast. But what I want to know is, are all these rumors true? I personally think a well built and ported 13B or 20B could last as long as any piston engine - as long as the engine was built properly. Maybe we should find a rotary web board and locate a builder with experience and see what he thinks. You could always get an RX-8 engine, wasn't there a shakedown test of a modified RX-8 at Laguna Seca recently? Owen
  17. Thanks Tim! Was fun as usual! Owen

    MSA show

Any kinda Z is welcome at Hybrid! Owen
  20. I've heard of people breaking their windows cuz they had to slam their doors shut...I got this info from Zcar.com but you can use the door weather strip from a Hyundai something coupe. I did this and it fits well, still have to shut the door a little hard though. I also tried a rear hatch weather strip from an old Celica Supra, didn't fit too nicely. What I need are those rubber window squeeges on the outside of the window. They're mounted to the chrome thing at the bottom of the window. Owen

    MSA show

MSA's West Coast Nationals Sunday 4/27/2003. Who's gonna be there? I reserved some spots last year and we had like 5 or 6 cars. Finally after 3 years my own car will be there... Also, Tim240Z and I were thinking about a banner or sign for our area at the show. We still need to get a quote but who can put in? Maybe we should do like "HybridZ - So. Cal Chapter" or something Owen
  22. Thomas, What kind of mirrors are those and how are they mounted? Excellent piece of work, man! Owen
  23. I think you mean the one with the Toyota V8 engine in it? Owen
  24. Hey Dragonfly, it's been a while! You goin to MSA this year? Anyway, I used the 3/16" but found they leaked slowly, I then got some metric to SAE fittings from Autozone, I think I may still have their part numbers. If you need, them, email me offline. Owen

    Intro text

Hey Dan, New forum conversion looks good! One thing about the intro by Pete, maybe it should include hi-po L6's too? There is mention of supercharged or turbocharged V6 engines but we also have members with RB26DETTs, 7MGTE's etc. No biggie tho!
