  1. I was also asking about these, it seems ARP studs are also available from some of our members here. I am going to get the strongest ones I can find. Owen

    V8/510

The guy at Earl's Performance in Hawthorne, CA is building an aluminum SBC V8 to be put in to one of Pete Brock's racing 510s. Owen
  3. I am actually thinking about selling mine because I ended up getting some rims with a different offset than originally planned. See Buy/Sell section. Owen
  4. Thanks guys, Ross I'll email you with the sizes I need. Owen
  5. Can someone tell me the ARP part number or link to them for the stud bolts used in the stub axle? I looked at their website but it wasn't very helpful. Thanks, Owen
  6. I have the Miniram and so does Fast Frog, but I can't tell you which engines it fits on. All I know is that it fit with what parts I had when I ordered it! Therefore, you should call TPIS and ask them directly just to be safe. On another note, in some Chevy high performance mag, there was a new manifold which looked just like the Miniram. Maybe it was made by Holley or Edelbrock or something and it may be cheaper. Didn't read enough of it to see if it performs better than TPIS's unit. I saw this article one or two days ago, you should be able to find it at a large bookstore or something. Owen
  7. I think you should prime for about 30 seconds too? Look on the internet for engine break-in procedures, the good ones will recommend priming viz the method Tim mentioned. Owen
  8. In other words...tie a rope into a loop and use that as a door handle. That's the extent of my fabrication skills! Owen
  9. Side markers coming back into style??? This was part of the craze we were in before the import scene was labeled the import scene. Ahhh, I remember my Saab side markers on my old Toyota... Anyway, those ones in that pic are nice. Can you get more? I was actually thinking of the tinted ones that come stock on the newer Volvos or VWs, would match my future midnight blue paint better. Are you planning to use those lites and get rid of the ones up front? Or use both? I would use both for daily drivers, 5 years ago we wired them to stay on and then blink with the indicators. Keeps idiots from changing into your lane while you're still there! Owen
  10. Davy, yes, wheels are waaay over priced over here! Especially the big name Japanese wheels like Work, Impul, Volk, etc. There are some pretty cheap ones though, naturally they're for Hondas...I liked the Tenzo Mean 6. Terry, I would like to weld the two pieces together, they're aluminum. I'd have to redrill one of the pieces to get them to work though. My 20mm spacers are one piece and look a lot stronger. Owen
  11. Got some new wheels while I was in Japan. http://www.v8zcar.com/s30z/brakeswheels.htm Also some pix of some TT Supra wheels on my Z. I wrote 245 as the tire size but I think they were actually 255s. Owen

    Fuel Cells

Also cut out the tire well, and made a box around the cell like others have done. Link to my pix somewhere near bottom on http://v8zcar.com/s30z/quo.htm Owen
  13. Hey Les, Any pictures of this 92 Prelude door handle setup? I was contemplating the 88 CRX handles, but the Geo Storm one sounds pretty neat too. Owen
  14. This is just too insane for me! I have enough trouble getting the stickers on my windshields to sit straight Great work Terry! Owen
  15. Lookin good Tim! So when are ya gonna teach me to paint? I also have my vent tubed to a rollover valve under the car. Owen
  16. Yes! Some more reading material for my long flight to Japan! Thanks, Owen
  17. Yes, 2 parts...or more... That part in the picture, a plate that bolts to it with a pipe thread sticking out for the remote filter adapter or just the filter. Methinks I over tightened it...and am considering the ACCUSUMP setup. Asked Mike Kelly about it and did some other research on the net, sounds good! Owen
  18. I have an oil leak at the filter mounting location. I'm using the Summit remote oil filter kit. I have this (the whole thing, not the arrow) which screws into a plate, then the remote adapter screws into the other side of the plate. I've discussed with others here on the billet units sold in Jeg's, but I can't find the dang post. So, my question is, do I need to be using the part pictured above? I assume so, since it screws into the plate supplied by Summit. Owen
  19. By flushed, I hope you mean I just wet them down too much...and not ruined them I tried to lean it out but lost too much battery voltage, will have to recharge to be able to crank again! Owen
  20. Yes it has a fuel pressure gauge and I'm getting constant pressure, even up until the engine dies. This gets the plugs all wet and then the pump shuts down...maybe I'm running way to rich and extinguishing the combustion? Owen
  21. Started up the car this weekend! After numerous fuel leak and oil problems.... Right at start up the car idles very rough and timing is very erratic. The problem is, the car won't idle long enough for me to get the timing set and turning the distributor has very little effect if at all. The longest I can get it to idle is approx. 10 seconds. I have a feeling that this is a problem with ignition timing settings in the Haltech, but the way it dies makes it sound like it suddenly lost fuel. 383 SBC TIPS Miniram2 EFI manifold Haltech E6K MSD 6AL Ignition initially set at 10deg BTDC 1/2 tank of gas Anyone here familiar with the E6K set-up???? I hope I'm not hurting my engine! Owen
  22. Maybe the o-rings were damaged the first time? Did you look for replacement o-rings? Owen
  23. Thanks but I've got a long way to go! Tod Kaneko's car is truly a work of art, I hope to be on that level some day. In a daily driver of course Owen
  24. FINALLY, got my website moved to a reputable host...no more free web hosting for me, this is the 3rd time I've moved. Anyway, I uploaded some pix of my gauge mods. Go to the What's New link and down to the bottom. Owen v8zcar.com
