  1. Not sure about the question...but I have the H4 rounds from Ebay. In order to change to filament, all I did was cut off the back of the light housing, kinda like cutting the top off and egg I guess. Now I can just reach in and pull the bulbs whenever. Owen
  2. Who is the owner of the red Z with the locking hood pins? I'm interested in those! Not Ron...not Jon...don't think it was Al either... Owen
  3. MikekZ, Got any part numbers and stuff for your setup? Owen
  4. Lot's of homework too I expect! Your mailing address for the R230 shafts when you have the time Owen
  5. Funny, I was looking at the Cool Flex ad in a magazine this morning and was trying to decide whether I liked the look or not. Braided would definitely be awesome. Tim, check out Summit, they have a bunch of flexible hoses. Owen
  6. Dude...when it rains it pours, huh? Sorry to hear about it all. Hopefully insurance can pay for your car. Hang in there. Owen
  7. I have a set of '85 300ZX front 5-lug hubs that I plan to use. Do these use the same bearings as the 73 240Z and just a different rear seal? Or are all the parts completely different? Thanks, Owen
  8. Great....I knew I shoulda kept that thing! BTW, what's the status on the ebrake adapter for the 240SX calipers? I'm just gonna wait on these and do the brake cable at the same time. Owen
  9. They also live forever and can get under your skin and eat you from the inside. I swear! Rent the Mummy Owen

    hood scoop??

I have a doctored image I made with a Ferrari intake duct on the front of the hood. It's on the home computer somewhere though... Owen
  11. Pretty good member turnout considering it was last minute. I can't put names to faces or cars together either. I'll post my pics later and ask who's car was who's. Tony good pix man, mind if I use some on my website? I have a habit of only taking pix of cars I'm stealing ideas from Owen
  12. I think I tossed my ebrake cable on my 240Z. Do I need to drop the diff and everything in order to get a new one installed back in? Please tell me no.... Thanks. Owen
  13. The reason to use that later tank is mainly because it has baffles inside. At least that's what I learned. Owen
  14. Tom, I think I have the same air dam, FRP with no ducts. I may remove the '73 bumper battering ram mounts so I can use my 260 bumper. Got any pix of those mounts you made? "Owen needs some human nookie , he's getting way to involved with his car! Tim" PSHAW!!! Look who's talkin (and gawkin...at the show) Owen
  15. Wash it with warm sopy water, do what I did and take a shower with it! Wash it a bunch of times and maybe use some mild solvent cleaner. Then sand it, maybe 400 then 600 grit wet. Just did mine like two weeks ago, came out good. But since I have the '73 240Z, I had to cut the damn air dam because it hit the bumper mounts. Owen
  16. Hiromi, The place I bought mine at in Saitama were like $90 each brand new, black. The chrome you saw cost $130. Owen
  17. Ok, this is too long to read... If ricer means slow flashy car with stickers, then NO. If it means souped up import car, then YES. Most of the cars I see on the street have nice body kits, nice wheels, nice paint...and a stock pea shooter sized exhaust...WTF?!?! All show no go! Unlike all of us. Owen
  18. Tim, Isn't that the Scott and someone Mount car that won 240Z modified and best in show? Owen
  19. OK, I'm gonna call MSA now...I'll go a little extra and say 10 cars. I assume Super Dan and Mike Kelly will be showing cars too? Pete, why don't you just tow it for the show, we can all work on it, and you can drive it home! Forget autocross, anyone up for a cruise up Pacific Coast Highway twisties or Angeles Crest? Just watch out for all the motorcycles! Owen
  20. I spoke with MSA and they said they had tried to contact us but with no luck. I need to get back to them by tomorrow morning, around 10AM pacific time, as to how many people are bringing cars and how many of those are registered. I can get us a spot and we do not have to be there all at the same time. Remember, this is registered cars for the show only. Walk-in members, we look forward to seeing you! Owen
  21. I'm really interested if you come up with anything for the wipers! BTW, the 88-91 CRX heater blower is supposed to be a pretty dang good replacement. Saw it here or on zcar.com. Owen
  22. Thanks for sending me the brake lines! I'm still waiting on the e-brake adapters, can you advise the status? Thanks, Owen
  23. Are single stages safer than double stages? I dont really know myself...but here's some stuff I read which swayed me the the bc/cc side. With AE, I don't think you can sand or buff. What you see is what you get. "Urethane is user friendly in that it is usually much easier to correct problems but it's less user friendly in that it's more toxic to spray than most other materials. Urethane will hold up better and you can get a harder finish and deeper shine than acrylic enamel. Urethane is usually more expensive than other finishes but you can have a beautiful car more easily using quality urethane rather than other less expensive materials." "All urethanes are not created equal and some will hold up better than others. Clear urethane seems to be better than single stage as far as UV protection but if you take care of the finish you should see a long life when a quality paint is used and cared for." Trust me, I know about the cost issue, all of us here do! Sometimes I have to stop myself and say, "this isn't a show car" (or a race car). Haven't been too succesfull at convincing myself though... Keep us posted on your progress! Owen
