hmmmmm? well, i checked the book, and i couldn't find out wht the thing was-the only thing that came to mind was a knock sensor, but wasn't this only on Turbo models-btw this is an 81 n/a

yah, im in highschool-i dont touch the **** though, cuz i've had frends that have OD'd the stuff- its called DXM, if u drink a bottle of it, u'll get pretty messed up-but the "cool" new thing to do is coraseeden(sp?) cold and cough, if u take about 16-u'll get messed up, but it eats away ur liver.-thats y i dont do it

idk if u have a timing light laying around in ur garage-but wht u do, is hookup the light to the plug wires, and if u see a brite flash-then that means that u have a good spark-if it doesn't, try the same thing, but test it from the distributer cap, if that doesn't work, check the coil-find out wht works, and wht doesn't if the coil works but the cap doesn't-then it mite b a bad coil to dizzy wire

I found a disconnected wire in my engine bay...its rite next to the injector fan-its like a 2 wire hookup-i've been meaning to look in the hanyes, but i always forget to check it out- can nebody tell me wht this is btw, the hookup is covered by a rubber boot.

i seached !!!!, Does anybody make and aftermarket turbo kit for the ZX? I was also wondering-if i get the pieces from the Turbo ZX (intake, exhaust, turbo, ECU, ect) and bolt them up-is there nething else i need to do to get it to run? any extra sensors need to b hooked up?

keeping the thing on all the time won't help u........im assuming that if the fans r always on-then the thermastat will always b open too-is this correct? If ur car doesn't get up to the operating temperature, then it wont perform as well

I dont really remember the swap quite well, but JTR makes a kit so that u could put a V8 in an astrovan, and i didn't see nething about changing the tranny-i also didn't read into it a whole lot......it could prolly take the torque and HP of the V8-i was thinkin AWD but it seems a bit time consuming, and expensive, sum1 should do it and say wht theres turned out to b, so we can try to fix those problems that they had. I'd try it

the same problem happened to me, it ended up getting so bad that it wouldn't start at all. I took the thing apart, then reconected everything VERY TITE, and BAM, works everytime

I was wondering, I live in Mechanicsville, Va, and 2 times that i've been riding around with my parents....i've seen a 280z(i believe it was a 280z) its a red one with side window and rear hatch louvers. I always see it in the same place too. Would anyone on this board b the owner of this Red Zcar?

alot of it does hafta do with the wieght of the car......the low torque peak will help out in a heavy car, so that it will get it goin alot easier a high torque and high hp 4 banger with a lower peak.......around 2-3000 Rpm will prolly get alot better gas mileage then a V8 with the same torque curve.

damn, i wish i had a few grand just lying around-to get a plane ticket to G.A, then to buy the car and fly it back.

hey zfan, r u sure the SC300's engine said 2JZGTE, check again....i believe it says 2JZGE-it is basicly the Supra engine minus the turbos, unless ur talkin about an N/A Supra, then its the same setup

Im pretty sure that u can blow a headgasket, and possibly only have it blown next to one cylinder, i think its happened quite a few times to ppl on this site b4. Whitish-colored smoke comming from your exaust usually means burning coolant, doenst it? meaning ur HG probly blew up. tell us how it ends up.

they call it the 1.5jzgtte becuz it is halfway between a 1JZ and 2JZ, cuz half of it is 1J and the other is 2J. 2JZ half is the block and the 1JZ half is the head.

Has anyone thought of any other cars that have the same dimensions for a cylinder head for an L28, it hasta b a DOHC if there was a head with similar dimensions-mayb theres a way to machine it to fit on an L28, it would b a bit of tuning and trial and error- but wouldn't it b sweet to put a 7MGTE head on an L28 The DOHC would give it the better flow, and you could tune it a whole lot better.......has neone put time into this idea-if so i'd like to know Does anybody have any head demensions for the L28, 7M.......

thanx guys, well, hes not too brite when it comes to doin things....i dont think he left nething wit the post office, i know his foster parents, but they got up and left a few weeks b4 he did, they kicked him out, and he just left. He got a GED about a little more than a year or 2 ago. Hes from all over the US, no1 ever nos where he is, he has no permanent residents that neone nos of.
