A mikuni/solex manual for sale on eBay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Roadster-240Z-260Z-280Z-Solex-Service-Manual_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ80739QQitemZ4577354299QQrdZ1

Thanks for the inputs. Yeah if this is doable then I'll keep this at the back of my head. Crank...I'll see, if it's not thick enough then I think it is also possible to weld more metal then grind off the excess. With offset grinding, it is possible to grind the journals down to the rod size of popular engines. Like dot said the main difficulty is cost; everything has to be done 12 TIMES. Head gasket....how does one modify a HG? hmmmm... an all Canadian thread.

So a rude guy posted a short question(with plenty of non-coherent sentences, but showed no tech know-how or quantitative baseline) in a forum.... Someone replied....but not what RG wanted to hear, so RG was rude to him. Someone else replied....but still not what RG wanted to hear, so RG was still rude . Another one replied....again not what RG wanted to hear, so RG was rude again. Someone flamed RG....this is definitely not what RG wanted to hear, so RG flamed back. Now he's rude to everybody. Then, someone banned RG....RG says to everybody : "wtf is YOUR problem?" Silent, I doubt you are ever going to build a 11 sec N/A L28. In fact that kind of attitude will not get you very far neither. Personally, I know a local guy who runs a N/A Z into high 12's; on top of that, there are several guys here that also run in 12's with N/A and carbs but since you are going for 11's you won't be interested.

I was reading the Jaguar V12 history yesterday. On page 9 at the middle, the author said it is possible to attain 8.1 liter or even 9 liter displacement with increased bore/stroke. http://www.jagweb.com/jagworld/v12-engine/page9.html However, on page 2, from looking at the picture of the engine block it seems the cylinders are made of liners rather than holes cut into solid casting. http://www.jagweb.com/jagworld/v12-engine/page2html Is the author talking about a version of engine different from the one on page 2? You can't possibly "bore out" steel liners, not from 90mm to 98mm. Some other sources indicated the existence of 7 liter race engines and one company is capable of producing 8 liter Jaguar V12. http://217.37.193.161/rdcsite/pagesronart/rpower.html Is big displacement Jag V12 doable???

Now this I am learning today.

Bubba needs a polymer frame gun as chew toy because polymer has give and feels like real bone. Besides, all the dog drool will make traditional guns rust. For me, it's either 1911, S&W revolvers, or SIG. I want all steel, or at least all metal. No polymers!

Modify to use later big valves. Get it ported. The main limit is the exhaust port flow. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=98351

Wow they really put effort into designing it. It is only 231 kilo. Wonder how much LS1 weights. BTW 2dB noise reduction roughly equals to 20% reduction.

It's hard to determine the cost because skill level of each person is different. One person may be able to do weld/fab/scavange while the other is not capable of much. The more competent ones save money by doing things themselves. In order to go fast and cheap, I think it is necessary to begin with cars that are lightweight. Like AE86, Geo Metro, Datsun 510...

Sublime. Love the pop orchestrals. This video is better than the streetfire one because this one can be played fullscreen. http://www.racinggreentvr.com/models/sagaris.asp One question tho(not about this car), about their T350 series engine : http://www.racinggreentvr.com/models/t350.asp The displacement is similar to the Nissan 350Z, but the Nissan car makes 287bhp while the TVR makes 350bhp. Mind you 350Z has valve timing technology similar to VTEC. How does the T350 make 63bhp more than the 350Z? Maybe the weather in England is always so foggy and damp they run very high compression without knock? Just kidding.

I found the exact thing at my local JY. Was trying to remove it but later I found out he wants 125$cdn for it even though there is shaft play. I could get one off eBay for the same price. I did see a volvo turbo lying around in the JY office, probably taken off by the JY operator to sell it off quickly. What they did was remove the exhaust manifold from the head and then use a sawzall to cut off the pipe after the exhaust turbine housing. The end result is the entire turbo come off with the exhaust manifold attached, with a short section of sawed off exhaust pipe. If you do not have sawsall you'll have to jack the car up and work under the car to get to the bolts&studs.

Good work, looks good. -
Looks like AFM

glad it worked out, But if you did so many races how'd you get so broke in the first place? You are not paying "Rachael" child support in the game are you?
-
Hi, I used the search function but apparently the search engine doesn't like the term "2+2" so I can't get results. I am planning a turbo swap into a 280Z and there's a guy selling his 280ZX turbo 2+2. I am wondering if there's any difference between a ZXT swap and a ZXT 2+2 swap. Also, the 2+2 is automatic, but I will use the original 4-speed MT on my 280Z. Will the automatic ZXT 2+2 parts drop in like the ZXT parts? Any difference? Thanks

Found you something. I tested this method and it WORKS! It allows you to do races that's in the previous stages. However you must stick to the guidlines: choose races that were not completed in the past and restart after you enter such races. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Get bank for races: There are five stages, and as you complete each of them you can go back and repeat the races again. You may even find that there are some races you missed. These are the ones that you want to race. When you go to these, you are not supposed to get anything for them but you can change that. To access these races, go to your garage, then your world map, and select a race. When the race begins, pause game play and restart the race. Notice that there is an option to return to world map, however after you restart it will not be there. You can now race and get bank for it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Note : The "races in the past" that will give you money are the ones marked "not completed"
-
So the problem right now is that you need money to upgrade the visual rating to get the DVD cover shot before you can do the last URL race? Ouch, guess playing with cars can put one in a bad financial situation even if it's a game huh? I tried trading in a good car for a stock Peugeot but there is no financial gain whatsoever. You can't find ANY hidden races(stadium area, etc)?
-
IIRC there's a time where you have to find hidden races after all races on the map became "scarce." I could be wrong cuz last time I played this game it was several monthes ago. Have you checked that you didn't unmark the races? Open the map and it shows a list of race categories; each category has a green check mark on the left side of screen. If you "hide" some of them then they'll be marked with red crosses and won't show on the map. Also check messages in the past. Maybe there is something you need to do. I have two games, one at 10% the other at 60%. The 60% game has plenty of races on the map.
-
I'll go check. Meanwhile, how many races do you still have to complete for this stage?
-
ok so where is the boat?

1500$ good 3.1L engine deal+free crappy 240Z
TheNeedForZ replied to TheNeedForZ's topic in Non Tech Board
I read the ad again CAREFULLY, he's selling TWO CARS for 1500$, a 260Z with the highly build STROKER 3.1L(high CR, port & polished + cams, triple sidedrafts), a bunch of goodies, then a free crappy 240Z with dual Weber DGAV. Sounds too good to be true so you guys better check first. It is a very good deal if it is true. AHHHHH the TEMPTATION. I actually have 1500$ but I don't have space for it and it will cost me too much to ship the cars across the border. When I spotted the ad it only has 4 views. Someone PLEASE buy it! JUST GET IT OVER WITH. -
Not mine and I have no money for this but you gotta be fast!!!! http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=683
