I often find headers(for Datsun inline 6) for sale on eBay that doesn't include a Y pipe. Basically it should be 6-2-1 but without the y-pipe there is only the 6-into-2 section. I began to wonder if there is some sort of generic y-pipe that will fit ALL these headers. Without the y-pipe, these headers are useless or I am wrong.

zeiss150, Did I help? I think you didn't even read my post. The link clearly shows the differences among Z31 turbos of different model years. You just skipped it. BTW I've asked plenty of questions and received plenty of help in this forum, never a problem.

One for each side and they run parallel to each other. They provide places for mounting the motor.(a unibody car still needs these "frame rails" for structure support) Underneath the floorboards are "floor support rails" some times people mix up "floor support rails" and "frame rails" and just called them all "frame rails". Underneath the trunk area, there are also rails, you can call them "rear frame rails" but they are not straight, just boxed up supports that runs from the end of floor to the rear of the car.

My "How to modify your Datsun..." book says it's ok to do 2mm(0.080") overbore without checking. But for 3mm such as in the stroker, you need to sonic check.

Silent, True, "rude" is subjective. I said you were because you gave me attitude after I said something that you already know. Well how am I supposed to know what you already know then? This is small stuff, it's not that important, just when I read your response, for a moment it felt like getting a rain of piss for trying to help. A local guy(owns a bodyshop) here built his 240Z with all fiberglass exterior(hood, fenders, hatch, doors) except the roof. He was using triple Mikunis and runs 12.9. Car has centerforce clutch, and of course cam and engine works. The details of which I don't know. He only said he spent a lot of money on the engine & drivetrain. However the car still has regular glass on it and is still streetable. If you build a dedicated drag car with a stroker then there might be a chance.

About the throttle body vacuum line thing : I think you can get a throttle body spacer that provides a vacuum outlet. The spacer is constantly listed on eBay. I didn't pay much attention to the maker because I was switching to triple carbs anyway. My 280Z ran with N42 intake before I started taking the car apart. No problem back then. You can find out about the air regulator question. Try running the car without it, if car runs worse then put the regulator back.
