  1. Just curious, most cars in the junk yard are not wrecked cars. Usually they have all the parts intact unless they have been stripped by parts scroungers like you and me. Wonder why those cars ended up there? I just returned from a junk yard with some good find. They have a 280ZX, I got 15/16 brake MC and a D6K9 distributor with E12-80 module. All for 60$CDN
  2. Speaking of speeding tickets, I saw a news on Yahoo 1 or maybe 2 years ago of which a guy in Norway(or Sweden? can't remember exactly) got a 230000$USD speeding ticket. Apparently that particular country adopted a system that calculates traffic fines based on a person's annual income. The 230000$ fine for the speeding ticket was a small percentage of that guy's annual income. Therefore the guy is super rich. I bet traffic police of that country get a lot of bribe from rich folks.

  5. That's funny. I bet he's now in some supra forum telling everybody "So i met this RX-7 guy, right? right? and he said he's got a cam in that thing..." Too bad you're still building yours or you can show him on the street right there.

  12. Can NA 280ZX distributors(no matter what year) swap into early Zs? mine is a 76 280Z I have searched but nothing is said about it. Why do I ask? I found a guy who's selling 2 zx distributors, one from a 80 zx, one from a 83 zx. Both distributors look complete and in good condition, but the 80 zx distributor(D6K9, module E12-80) is sold at a higher price and is said to swap into early Z's The 83 zx distributor(D6K8,he says "standard brand module") is sold at a lower price the guy didn't say the 83 dist. can swap. I emailed him and asked if the 83 dist. can swap into my 280z, he said "I don't think so" I also checked Joseph R. Demers' website http://www.jrdemers.com/ Joseph said he swapped a D4K8 into his 240Z but didn't say if D6K8 or D6K9 will swap into Z's What do you think? Thanks for the help. BTW why does electronic ignition give "hotter sparks" as told by a member in an old thread?
  13. Vacuum allows the turbine to keep spinning....hey that's what I was guessing. Is there any draw back to that system? If not then why don't all the turbo cars use this system instead of adding a BOV?
  14. ??? Forget about it, it showed right after I posted this thread. DELETE THIS.
  15. Yep, SKS is my first rifle. Put about 2000 rounds of norinco stuff thru it and it is still pumping. I had put on a scope mount but the gun wasn't very very accurate anyway so I used it for shooting offhand at a metal gong 200meters away. 6.5X55 SM's are the best milsurp rifles, period! My first "serious" rifle, had a scope mount and was using my very own handloads. That was my first time handloading too, was afraid the gun would explode lol. At the end of the day I found a load combination that gave me half-inch 3-shot group at 100 meters. That was one of the best moments. I bought the rifle at a gun show 5 years ago for 120$CDN, and the gun was all matching numbers in excellent cond. It would sell for 3~4 times the price now.

  20. Saw a red murcielago coupe once at a traffic light....right next to me. He had to merge as soon as the light turned green, so I "let him" go ahead of me. It's the first top dollar exotic car I've seen.
  21. So what's going on now? You get to keep eveything or you lose everything? MaTTSuN is a member on this board, he's in Vancouver. In his signature it says he has a rust free 280Z shell.
  22. 45 seconds are good enough. Those whiners talk like they deserve the item or something. They lost because they didn't want the item hard enough and didn't setup a high autobid to secure it.
  23. pdinnel, I live on the north side of Richmond. Are the calipers you mentioned S12W or S12-8 ?
  24. Those are vented. Thanks for the replies though. If I use S12-8 with stock solid rotors, is that good enough for street use? I don't participate in any race event.
