  1. Thanks a lot! I've only taken a photo class at college and haven't picked up a camera in MONTHS. I appreciate the compliment, but RTz, Braap, Copricorn (capricorn sorry), and several has much MUCH better shots than I. To be put in with them makes me all warm and fuzzy thanks again.
  2. Thanks Olie I should have clarified...LS1 ITB's and a racing fuel cell.
  3. Yeah not everyone has a green floored garage...its hard to miss. Is that the same you've been working on for a while?
  4. I took a quick look sparks recognized the garage and thought someone photoshopped Austins' car orange...Then saw Austin's in the back. Yours is looking good!
  5. 17x9.5 all around @ 4.5 BS. The rear tires are slightly larger than the fronts. I'm a 240z so I'm going to be lower than starting than your 280, with that being said I'd venture to say I'm maybe 2-3 inches lower than stock. The coilovers where right in the middle set point. Again for the price I couldn't pass them up, figure adding another $200-ish to get the powdercoating down on all 4 wheels. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
  6. Sorry its the best I have. ZG flares and fender cutting are required for the size I have.
  7. Tire 275/40/17 Rear and 255/40/17 Front. 4.5" backspacing on the wheels. As to lowering I have coilovers and I know I could drop it another 1-3 inches but the oilpan would hit on the smallest of bumps.
  8. Okay, so I'm looking into getting my fuel system stuff. With that said my budget is on the low side nowadays and was looking at jegs fuel pump kits. I have a couple of questions though: 1) With my extrudabody ITB's can I run a returnless system while my fuel cell has a return on it? 2) The kit in question is this (part #555-100805) http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/100805/10002/-1?parentProductId=761038 Will this kit be sufficient enough? Sorry I'm really a newb when it comes to fuel system stuff and most searching people only use the in-tank setups or the +$1000 setups which I can't afford anymore. I just want to get the thing on the road now. Thanks for the input and feedback!
  9. I'm partial to centerlines. Not the lightest wheel out there, but good bang for the buck. 17x9.5
  10. The website is okay. I think he needs to focus a little more on his website layout and navigation. I know he's trying to offer a product, but having a "splash" page describing the site, the product, etc. I think would be better than a direct link to the products page. It seems he's new to website creation just based off of the look and feel of it. And if he's not a website designer or have a fair amount of experience tell him to switch to something like wordpress or weebly or wix. The reason I say this is because it helps make the website look professional vs. a kid selling shirts in the backyard. Last but not least he should offer a gimmick (i.e. group buy, discounts for forwarding to friends, etc.) Just my .02
  11. Nah, he's one of the most uneducated egotistical racist rappers out there. Thats all I'm going to say cause thats all i can say without shedding the thread.
  12. I'm about 2 hrs away...usually stop there on the way to vegas...
  13. I showed my wife this. She said and I quote verbatim "Thats what I'm talking about, why don't you love me like that?" Thanks....
  14. I know what you mean. Unfortunately I don't really have the skills to be an ASE mechanic, went through some classes but never got the certification. I'm just tired of looking at jobs, its constantly daunting, which isn't fun. Just kinda stuck without having a degree, but can't afford to go to school full time to get it. Quite the stuck in between situations. Oh well I suppose, thanks for the feedback guys.

    Car PC

Sounds like a plan. Now get to hopping and be sure to upgrade you RAM. Post up some pictures on the dash too!
  16. Looks real good. Going to have to keep those in mind.

    Car PC

Looks pretty straight forward. Check out Dereks' custom dash. He has a liliput screen in his Z. Looks pretty good. 12" seems like it be a little on the large side, but with a custom dash you can even out the proportions. if you don't mind me asking what is that CarPC running you? Not including the screen. Just curious I build PC's on the side and depending on price you could probably build it yourself cheaper. Also I'd add more RAM than 1gb.
  18. Hi Dom, whats your budget? Here's mine. "supposed" to be up and running on the Sept 14. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=151041&highlight=build+thread
  19. Thanks guys for the input. I'll have to check into the bread routes. My wife only has a year left if she stays at a CSU vs. at least 2 if she transfers out of state. We've talked about and weighed the her full time vs finish school in a year and economically speaking in the long term its better her finish in one year and then allows me to do school closer to full time. Again thanks for the input and I'm checking out David Ramsey right now!
  20. Okay, so as everyone knows the economy sucks right now. I've been job searching since January all over CA and even into Colorado some with no avail. This is a somewhat multi-layered question(s). First, I've been looking at you tool delivery Franchise's (matco, snap-on, mac, etc.) or really any other franchise out there. I'm not looking for a career out of it, just something for 4-5 years allowing me to finish my Bachelors degree and support my wife's college. With all that being said does anyone out there have experience with these franchises? Finding Internet resources/reviews that are unbiased (not funded by said franchise) is very hard to do. Additionally if anyone out there has a job opening, as either an apprenticeship, intern, or full time employee and would like to help a fellow Hybridz'er out please let me know and I'll send you a resume. I'm finishing up my AS Degree in Industrial Technology: Automotive focus. Overall goals: Must make at least $15-20/hr to be able to support the household (living in Bakersfield, CA). I'd like for it to have it help future career placement in the Engineering field. Willing to relocate depending on what is available. Thank you Hybridz, for your time, considerations, and opinions.
  21. Being a very speculative question, I'd say it depends on what "type" of S30 you're trying to build. As close to original "JDM" spec (for lack of better expression), or something more performance based, or something cost based. I like whats, they can really make the car look good. However, it seems like everyone is getting them nowadays. Cost wise FOR ME, it wasn't worth it. I spent half on my wheels (including having them powdercoated) and they're 17x9.5 and a 5" backspacing. Benefits of this is, I have a wider selection of tires available. Downside is well I don't have a JDM or "period correct" looking Z. Then again the price difference made me okay with that
