  1. Thanks for the positive feedback guys. Good to know I'm on the right track. LOL @ stony, sorry bro not yet waiting on some gaskets etc. Shipping to here isn't what you would call overnight delivery.
  2. Thanks. We dont have MOT here so not going to be a problem. Pic of the car just after pearl and clear caot. Gotta polish down and buff back out to get a nice mirror shine.
  3. Also just got in the gauges for the dash. Custom bracket for intercooler support.
  4. Paint job almost done. More pics to come soon of it completed. Here are some in the booth and also of engine almost completed. Guys from a local online magazine came and took some shots. Check them out http://www.jdmsquared.com
  5. Just finished fabricating the rear dual caliper brake bracket for the independent hydraulic handbrake setup. Just gotta get them powder coated now but they fit up nicely and allow easy bolt up access. Mix of hardware for when everything goes back up. Nice and new. New universal harness. Got upgraded light clips and other parts for the headlights and custom rear setup.
  6. While it's gone workshop is cleaned, rearranged and getting ready for engine rebuild.
  7. I went with the nrg flip up adapter mounted to a momo boss which I sectioned out and reworded to make it shorter so that the two pieces are the same length now as the original boss give or take a cm.
  8. Hi Guys In urgent need of a steering column for a '77 280Z but only finding for the 240z and early models. They look like they may have minor differences in the upper bolt section which can be modified easily but wondering if anyone knows for sure if they are interchangeable otherwise and the same length etc? I'm talking about the actual column that is inside the car, not the shaft in the engine bay. Thanks.
  9. Final epoxy coat underneath then 3M underbody coating. Sending off to get the rest of the car painted soon. Also got the carbon hood back from being slightly modified.
  10. I sell gauges, they appear to be prosport but a better option may be the glowshift elite10 60mm
  11. I went with a 280 for my swap. The RB26 in my opinion is the one case where to me the 280 is the better foundation straight out the box as it were. Stiffer chassis, longer rails etc and as mentioned with a bumper swap and a couple mods are almost identical to an earlier model. Really I think its which ever one you can get in the best condition, modifying to suit is part of the game.
  12. Hey if I send you a 3DS file of some lettering would you be able to get it printed? Would just have to let me know how much.
  13. Ok thanks John. I am starting with a heavier car (280). I'm hoping with some other weight loss mods like dropping those heavy bumpers and the carbon hood and glass hatch from you guys that I can stay below 1350kgs.
  14. Hi guys I've seen weight for the engines and weights for cars and various pieces but just wondering if anyone has actually ever weighed their car post RB conversion with all of the other changes like exhaust, brakes etc that usually go along with a swap. Ideally would love to see independent wheel weights but I know that might be pushing it. If you have can you post weights and general idea of aftermarket parts. Thanks
  15. Hey was an email offer for people on their mailing list. I was told they were all sold out after just 20 mins or so. I barely got mine, so pretty sure its not on anymore sorry.
  16. Started to fab the center section for in between the lights to finish up the rear.
  17. Getting ready to rebuild engine, did an initial intake port clean up and painted the block.
  18. Thanks. Was that a two part paint, a spray can or brush on in a can?
  19. Hey Matt, or anyone else, can you tell me what paint you used on the block? About to mask mine and was wondering what kind would be needed to last with the heat etc. Thanks.
  20. Thanks...recent project update video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vE75qFeUq0c
  21. As a bike rider I use my mirrors but out of habit always do a quick swing around shoulder check. It's saved me a few times.
