  1. Too much rear brake. That is how my car felt before I put the prop valve in. Scary thing is that I got use to that feeling for almost 2 years but def isn't the way to be driving the car. Hopefully this year when I have the Z back together and back on the track I can play with different setups. Also I am running a slightly harder pad on my front brakes. As far as rear toe, maybe look at TTT rear control arms. I can let you know what my alignment settings are. Questions for the true racers: if you are running much wider tires, you wouldn't need as much front and rear toe as someone running wheels lets say 3-4 inches smaller?
  2. Excited! Now I ordered my trans mount and will be getting a few more parts needed for the install.
  3. JT - you are correct! I tracked Joe's (RAGS) yellow turbo car and it taught me a few things for the day. Turbo cars are much harder to drive and 30-40 min sessions expose ever weak point in a cars build. It was still a fun day and glad the group of guys really enjoyed themselves. Dave - are we talking full rebuild here? The car did look like it was running great for the day cause I couldn't find you all day! The July event will be fun!
  4. Very cool! I have a question about the clutch line. The part number you provide isn't for the -3AN fitting with the 90 on it. (RUS-658090) ? I am ordering that adapter for the clutch line you provided and already using the CM you are you using. Your swap came out great!
  5. For the price I had to buy it! The Chevy guys from work want to kill me....lol
  6. Yeah guess who needs two sets again! ME!
  7. I am at the point where I am ordering parts again for the car. I already have this clutch: http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?tpc=Tilton_-_74_Series_Master_Cylinder_Kits&form_prod_id=889&action=product Also ordering: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RAM-78510/ As for as the clutch line itself, I would like to keep the quick release but the fitting from Speedway has the stainless AN -4 to GM quick connect lines that from memory wouldn't work on the clutch master? I forgot what size adapters come with the clutch master kit. You guys who made your own line, used a AN -3 fitting correct off of the master to what on the throw out bearing? Thanks. I feel like a newbie again! I welded up a fitting the first time around and just trying it different way this time.
  8. I like the simple plug n play. I have another car to wire up so that is enough work to worry about.
  9. Ok I guess it is time to get back to the Z car with the above swap all done! Here is what I picked up as a donor: Yes a perfectly good running car 2002 M6 Camaro. I have someone who may buy the entire shell after the engine and trans is out. My plans: New tank set up - being worked on as we speak (ATL drop in fuel cell in stock tank) Repaint engine bay - will also work on blocking off radiator area and air box Repair fuel lines - damaged from moving diff mount; don't ask.....lol Send stock harness out to Speartech Purchase long tube headers via 1tuffz group buy There are plenty of other things to do but I would like the Z back on the road come end of May. So let the parts purchase begin.
  10. Funny, Rags and I was just talking about east coast superchargers this weekend! Car is looking great!
  11. Joe post pics of the engine bay - just a thought.
  12. I believe if you do a search on the high speed collectors, I believe for cam'd cars it would help the HP numbers. Would be very different on each setup.
  13. After reading the vendor thread, it looks like it will be plug and play Craig. I have already wired up my car with the LSx harness. I am going to order the kit and hide the toggle that will serve as my second anti-theft kill switch.
  14. I myself would like that setup, I would have to make it work with my LSx setup.
  15. I agree, my first fast car was my LS1 Z....so I all about learning and knowing my own limits.
  16. Looking great! I do love the way the manni came out. I got a free 5.3 today with harness and ecu
  17. Def can get together as the weather gets better, I have a few friends here that right. All sorts of bikes. Auxilary - not sure how to take your post but thanks =)
  18. Forgot to post a pic, lol Almost the season for this toy.
  19. So this new shop only needs to protype on side correct? Then remake the side you have done already? One week turn around $1000 plus shipping. Just double checking the facts here. Thanks for still making the effort.
  20. This car is down in MD, so this is going to be a bid I place online. I can not check anything and bidding based on pics. The interior is where I will make back most of the money - hatch - DS - keep in mind these engines are 10 years old, 35k miles is like new.
  21. Dave I remember. My first donor was was hit also but started. I can't comfirm why the car will not start....dealer auction. I was planning on the LS2 but for the 50hp difference, I will make the money back much quicker with the F bodies. Every donor I have had has the check engine light on. For around $3k, to me it is worth the gamble.
