  1. It took allot of work to make it bolt to the motor. Lots of grinding just to clear the stock manifold. And the TB is very tight to the firewall and radiator. Now that its on I like it!
  2. its weird I really don't feel much of a difference?
  3. yes still have the methanol. the nozzle is just before the TB
  4. Thats the very large runner. Right now with the stock head it feels the same as before. I'm hoping the runners are not so big it kills my bottom end.
  5. yup, oh my back is killing me! Bent over that this for too long. I just want this done, I'm going to try to clean up the brackets or do them again with the head change. Fitting, cutting, fitting, bending, all took the toll and they look pretty bad I think. What a nightmare of fitting, refitting, cutting, welding, and trying to be careful of my paint.
  6. Now that's what i'm talking about! Give me some of that (fist bump)
  7. Yeah boosted it for just a bit a couple times and it was pretty much the same. I'm having a crazy time fabbing my throttle cable and it was not getting full throttle. I'm going to try to do the head today?? Still working on brackets for the throttle cable. I just got home so i'm heading out to work on it now.
  8. If your going to drop some coin, I've got an Aeromotive A1000. No matter what I do that FP will handle it all.
  9. I was going to setup the intake then put the ported head on this weekend, but the intake took SO much work to get on that's all I got around to. and it glows in the dark ha ha here it is running:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2on3aRWb9o Went for a drive and the AFR's didn't change at ALL!! Ported head and cam will make all the difference. That goes on next time I get time. the part of the TB touching the radiator is coming off when the head goes on, and finish up the cable for the TB. LOTS of custom fab. work.
  10. I have a 38mm turbonetics external wastegate now. I have not put the ported head on yet. But yes I have 2mm head gasket with stock p90 head. Still that has my compression very low. I've blown 3 motors so I wanted to be safe.
  11. I got my cam in the head and the wipe looks good. I have some extra lash pads also. A set of BIG ones can't remember the size, then a set of kinda big ones. Not stock, flat bottoms. After my cam gets broke in I'll now for sure what I have for extra if you're still needing some.

ha ha, thats hybrid fo shizzle

  14. I'll take any help. It seems like when I put on the ported head, cam, intake. I'll make more power at lower boost, but i'll still stonewall around the same 20ish lbs of boost?? Still reading and learning.....
  15. I love it, I love it!! keep us updated.
  16. not sure if you want to do that? Way way back when I bought my car 1978 280z, I put 240z rear suspension on trying to solve what I thought was a bad toe in problem. The car sat so low the tires rubbed very very very bad. The strut tubes are shorter and the rear strut mount I believe are a different height in a 240 compared to a 280
  17. Thank you so much Tony. I sent JeffP a p.m. and am reading his web page about his car http://www.angelfire.com/extreme/280zxt/ Then I'll read your link and see if I can figure out what I need to do, and get Jeff's input on what worked, or how far he got. Thanks again Hybridz
  18. yes if it will solve my problems than I will need one. the .86 I would think? P.M. me with $$ Thanks.
  19. Thanks Tony. While on the dyno I think the flutter cause the bov to go off slightly then it seemed to pull through, like you were saying. It started at about 20lbs, gauge bounced, you hear fluttering, then it pushed to 25lbs holding steady. When you say"increase boost threshold point" with a larger AR turbine. Do you mean I would be raising my stonewall point? I.E. with the .63 stonewall is at about 20lbs, but if I had a .82 AR turbine stonewall would be higher?
  20. I got a problem from my last trip to the dyno, video here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvc00Qy2VLU We (Bryce..owner of Alamo, and Chris) Thought it was the WG spring being to small. I upped the spring from a 7 lb to a 15 lb. With no change in the flutter. I also ported the WG hole, smoothing it out, and opening it up. Creep is MUCH better. I then put a stiffer spring in the BOV, and tightened it all the way with no change. So I then blocked off the BOV (no BOV) also with no change in the flutter (two runs then put the bov back on) So I now read about compressor surge. I hit this wall of fluttering at 20-21 lbs of boost and above. Is my stock head, intake, and cam causing this? Is my .63 exhaust housing on my turbo too small for the 25lbs of boost i'm trying to run? I really don't think its the turbo. Everything is spot on up untill I try to run above 20lbs boost. I'm THIS close to putting on my ported head, Isky cam. But want to know what I'm dealing with.
  21. had to ask, I was washing my car the other day to find one of my front center caps was gone??
