  1. I have my megasquirt set to a running dwell of 3.6ms. I think thats at all rpm's but I'm not sure? I have the option of running the dwell at 50% of duty cycle, but was told not to do that...or I can't??? I really don't know much about the whole dwell setting thing? Thats why its taken months to finally play with it a little.
  2. megasquirt holset n/a dished piston motor P90 head 12x24x3 intercooler 3" pipe 3" full exhaust
  3. I think about it every time I hit the gas:icon11:
  4. congrats, I think you'll really like it. Um...invert the spark signal......no more than about a 3.0 running dwell.......I think thats about all the major screw ups I did. lol Read the online manual! http://www.msextra.com/manuals/MS_Extra_Hardware_Manual.htm
  5. man I don't know? Chris (tunner of my car) his last motor made 372 whp. He rode in it at 17ish psi and said it felt like 300 whp. It now feels better than that. Chris and myself are trying to make a Dyno date to know for sure. It sure feels HOT.....ver HOT!
  6. Ever since I raced my buddies twin turbo 300z, I have been trying to run 20 pounds of boost. I blew a coil, then blew the vb921 in my megasquirt by trying to up the dwell by WAY too much (read the MS manual kids). Well after 3 months!!!--this morning when I went to get donuts I brought the laptop with me and hit the highway. With my Mallory coil, and a running dwell of 3.6 I can now run 20 psi boost in the top of 4th, and 5th. I upped the dwell slowly from 3.0, then 3.2, 3.4, and finally 3.6 and she runs at 20 psi. Feels VERY SWEET!!!! I need to race my buddies TT300Z again! I have not been putting up video because I could not get 20 psi, now that I have it.....there are videos to come!
  7. sounds good, it runs again!! Get that thing on the road with some video.
  8. Man that looks great! I love it all. I am dying to hear that thing run!!
  9. sounds great, looks good too!
  10. yea I just looked at the pics on e-bay also..lol mines an 06
  11. I live in Texas, and I race my car, and I happen to be white, but I don't have a V-8..... So thats not me I guess?
  12. I'm willing to bet there is one of those in this house somewhere!!!
  13. What are those backfires from? I have had some of those at 20 psi between shifts? car is an inspiration! 600 whp, now thats what I want.
  14. I was getting gas yesterday (Saterday) and a kid in a 240sx was pulling out, as he went by he reved the motor hard so that his blow off valve went off. I think he won that race, because I was still filling the tank, and could'nt get in the car in time?
  15. thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hear the blow off valves.
  16. I'm all for the GO before show, a buddy of mine has $85K into his restored 67 vette. He tells me "all you need to do is get it painted for like $1200" I can do alot of other things for $1200. Looks very bad ass Mario, the wheels and the drop look tight.
  17. Thats very intersesting, I have a Mallory coil that I bought for this sputter. I should of turned the dwell up to 3.0, or 2.8 in hindsight. But I had this sputter for about a month. So I kinda thought what the hell 6.0 sounds good.
  18. I tried another coil, and reset the dwell to 2.5. Thats when it ran for about 10 sec. The vb921 no longer gets hot when cranking, but I seem to have intermitaint spark. If I let the car set for 5 min or so, it might start for 5 sec then die.
  19. I went from a 2.5 running dwell to a 6.0 and it got rid of a sputter that I had. Car was running like a batt out of hell at 19 psi. I almost got home and the car died. It was blowing fuel pump fueses at the relay board. My vb921 was getting very hot when cranking after I towed it home. I reset the dwell to 2.5 and replaced the vb921 with a spare and the car started and ran for about 10 sec. Now it has no spark. I have more vb921's comming sence It was a used one that I used to replace the one that got was getting hot.
  20. I found my sputter problem. My dwell in the megasquirt was set as 6.0 2.5 1.5 I changed the running dwell from 2.5 to 6.0 and the car pulls hard with no sputter at all, at 19 pounds boost, but I think that was too much dwell and I burned up my vb921 in the MS. the vb921 gets hot to the touch when cranking, megatune sees RPM when cranking but I have no spark. I just orderd another vb921 ($5) then I'll try a 3.0 dwell and work my way up slowly?
