  2. Too much horse power! We tuned my car 4 days ago at 17 psi. That was Wednesday, Friday my clutch starts slipping in 4th at 17 psi. It made it 2 days on a solid tune. :burnout: Its makes me smile kinda? Has your clutch ever slipped, in 4th frickin gear, at 120 mph???? Its awesome!! Now I'm going to drop about $400ish on an ACT set up. Chris, who tuned my car has had one for 4 years on his 374 rwhp turbo 240Z If thats good for him, its good for me. His new motor, that you see in one of my youtube videos. He's going for 410 rwhp, on pump gas----daily driver:icon45:
  3. I was on the phone with Chris (tuner of my car) while driving on the freeway. I was asking him "how come no one wants to race me??" just then I see a BMW Z4. Chris tells me "sneeze at him" so I say "OK" I pull up next to him and let off the gas GUSSSSHHH "says the BOV". That was it he takes off. I tell Chris on the phone "I gotta go, I'll call you back!" I get behind him, take 4th, nail it, and sail by him. He comes in behind me, steps on it, he changes lanes at about 60mph, hes about to fly by, I go from 5th to 3rd, put the pedal to the floor, his door get to my front fender, and thats it! Then I pull on him really, really bad! It was fun. I have no idea what a Z4 has for power? but it's not enough by far!!

  7. I did not know much about how the boost control works with megasquirt untill I already bought my profec b controler. The one big thing I like about the profec, is- On high boost I set it to 16 psi.....well, in 1st gear It hits 16 psi!! I have never been able to hit such high boost in 1st gear? and with the waste gate acuator setting on "sharp", or fast acting, it does'nt just kinda make it to 16 psi in 1st, it goes there instantly!! I mean BOOM 16psi That feels VERY powerfull! I wonder if you could run both controlers? I do like megasquirts ability to have the boost come down a bit at a certain rpm, say at the drag strip, or on the street, you want 18psi up untill 5800 rpm, that would be nice if you wanted to go flat out, but 5800 rpm was when you wanted to start saving your motor, so you only want 14 psi over that. I like that idea. edit: Also if you watch my "after tune drive" video, those 2nd gear tire spinning around the corners was 9psi!!! Now I can hit 16psi in 2nd, I've got to make another video!
  8. I'm looking on e-bay right now for an adjustable bov (greddy?) Once I crushed the top of mine it was all over. If its too tight I can't go back now. I did it in baby steps, but I guess I got it a little to tight? Same thing with my fpr, (I just got an adjustable one), but I had to raise the fuel pressure so I started crushing the spring. everything was great, untill I went to the 440cc injectors, now it idles a bit to rich, because I have 42 lbs of fuel at idle.
  9. I did'nt really know much about it?? I paid $150 for the Profec, so that would have been a huge savings! did you get your car fixxed?
  10. I set the high boost to 16 psi, and in 1st gear it hits 16!! before it would hit about 9 in 1st 12 in second then hit 16 in 3rd. 16 psi in 1st gear feels awesome!!!

  12. This is for a 280zx turbo. Using the optical sensor in the 81-83 turbo dizzy. I followed the directions here http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/how_to_megasquirt_your_280zx_turbo.htm and this is MY video of how I did it.

  17. I have an Accell super coil, any help with dwell settings would help. I FOUND THE PROBLEM. It was the optical sensor inside the dizzy. I put the guts from a z31 into my 83 turbo dizzy. Sort of an upgrade I guess? And that fixxed it!
