  1. I had the same problem Easy fix was buying a used light switch for $25 (dhp123166 still has one more left). Plug and play. Now I have all my lights working... hell, even my horn started working again LOL.
  2. I see those 510 hot wheels all the time at Walmart. They release new colors every few months. The last one I got was bronze. They did have 240's for awhile, but no new colors in the last 2 years.
  3. I had the same overheating problem. My stock fan seemed fine. Radiator started leaking, so put a new one in. It helped alittle, but still running around 200-210. Put in a new 180 thermostat from Carquest. No help. After reading some other threads, I put in a Nissan thermostat. Bingo. Now I run 180 to 185 in 90 degree weather in slow traffic. The cheapo thermostats are hit & miss. For a few bucks extra, factory thermostats is the only way to go IMO.
  4. Seafoam is cheap enough, considering what it can do. If you are going to tear your engine down, it will at least get rid of some of the sludge. Hell, it might be enough that you won't feel the need to rebuild. Ya never know til you try it. I've seen it for as low as $6.95, so might be worth trying it. It sure wouldn't hurt.
  5. As Ron White would say "you can fix ugly, but you can't fix stupid!"
  6. Hi, I know this is an old thread, but thought I'd try this anyways. Do you know or remember what year the 240 was that you used the grill from? I want to do the same thing on my '77 280 (use a 240 grill for parts to fill in the turn signal area). Thanks!
  7. I'd pitch in 20 to see Big Foot or the Graveyard Digger crush it...
  8. Great information. Something I need to attack for myself. Thanks!
  9. Nice job. I love those wheels too. They compliment the black spoiler and the rest of the car. Outstanding IMO.
  10. Thanks guys. Some good info that I can use, and lots of other members.
  11. Most of these Z's make me drool... a little.... EXCEPT that 4x4. That is just wrong!
  12. Gotta get some different wheels and tires, and maybe some 240 bumpers for my '77.
  13. Gotta love the Z car, but they don't do beans in the snow and ice. WOW, I didn't think NM got snow! I am envious. Only rain here in Oregon.
  14. My understanding is the vacuum heater control valve is the same on 74 thru 78 Z's. Not sure if the mechanical one is the same. If interested, let me know and I'll get some pics to you. Both valves are in good shape, open & close correctly with no leaks. I also have the vacuum door actuator.
  15. I had to replace the stock pump on my '85 GMC with a 454. I couldn't get the pushrod out, so I just put the block off plate on. It didn't hurt anything, and I put another 30K miles on her before I sold her.
  16. If it's under the passenger seat, it probably has to do with the seat belt warning system... or it's the ECU for your ejection seat.
  17. He had a posting on ZCAR.com last week. Listed his email as zman@zspecialties.com.
