  1. I definitely would like to see pics of the Mustang grille on a Z, and what modifications were needed to make it fit.
  2. Love the stance. I want those wheels & tires!
  3. Just lurking..... and drooling. Man that looks good!
  4. I'm going for the lowest price I can find. Shoot me your price and a pic please.
  5. I have to agree, that DOES look really good.Making me go "hmmmmmmmmm" after I take my back bumper off. Thanks for the post.
  6. Hahahaha... guess that means the corroborators like to fight each other.
  7. I believe the 75-76 are the same, and the 77-78 are the same. Neither will work on a 240 without alot of fabrication.
  8. The 75-76's are pretty much common, and the 77-78's are pretty much the same (in regards to bumpers, some interior stuff, some electrical stuff, and other misc stuff). I personally prefer the '77 (I've had all of the above at one time or another). Just a matter of taste. BUT I'd go for the one with the least amount of rust, and the least amount of previous owner damage (i.e. wires hacked for whatever reason).
  9. Thanks! I wasn't sure if the 70-73 grilles were all the same. NOW I gotta find one at a good price
  10. I normally prefer darker colors, but that blue is outstanding on a 240. Definitely a head turner. Great job!
  11. I installed 240 seats in my '77, using the 280 seat rails. They fit fine. The PO had seats from a late 80's Subaru. Those were a tight squeeze. Made it a chore to reach the seatbelt.
  12. I wouldn't think a rear spoiler could help unless you are driving fairly fast. I'm going with making sure the hatch is aligned with a good gasket would be best. Or an ugly-ass tailpipe pointing down to the pavement
  13. Good choice dude. Now we gotta see them with tires. And please do NOT put white wall tires on that beauty. I saw a nice 240 with true spoke wire wheels AND white wall (puke) tires on it. What a shame.
  14. I'd be surprised if it really had only 25K... odds are 125K or 225K or ??? Be sure to check for rust in all the usual places. Make sure the wiring hasn't been hacked up, which has been the case in 3 different Z's I've owned. Even though the 260 is similar to the 240 and 280, there are somet things on the 260 only that will be harder to come across (it was only made in '74). The early 260's will have the smaller bumpers like the 240's. The later 260's will have the park bench bumpers like the '77 & '78's do. If I had to choose a 260, I'd prefer the early 260's. More than likely you'll need carb work or replacement. Good luck. If you get that 260, be sure to post pics.
  15. At 50 bucks per corner, I am sure that money could be used for something else that is needed or necessary. If the rubber bushings look that good, I'd stick with them.
  16. What are they new? What did you pay? Be reasonable. If someone is interested, but thinks the price is too steep, have the buyer make an offer. Used parts are only worth what a person is willing to pay for it.
  17. My '76 had that problem. It didn't matter what the temp was outside. If the car sat for more than a few hours, I would have to crank quite awhile before it would fire up. Found out there is a check valve back by the tank. It is meant to keep the fuel line pressurized, so you don't have to crank and push fuel back up to the injectors. Not sure if that's your problem, but it happened to me. Just a thought.
  18. Hey Braap, thanks for the short history lesson. Some of it I knew, the rest I now know. Very interesting.
