  1. I don't think they are...aren't Minilites made in Britain? I am puzzled at these wheels too--the do look just like Panasports but ar made in Japan. They are reasonably light and came from an autocross Z car. Davy
  2. Actually, that is the best thing you can do. Why? It will become easier for them to do that 'thing' more and more until they do it to the wrong person....and then they will reap everything they sowed: "sow the wind, reap the whirlwind." Just shine them on--don't play their game; then they are in control of you, not the other way around. Davy
  3. I can't believe I will ever see something more stupid looking then this. Some guys have talent, like this guy does, but it is so misapplied. Pity. Davy
  4. Car would be impounded and you would be fined, or maybe something less. Personally, I don't think that it would become an issue--only if they found out about it. Remember that you still have to get a post '74 car smogged in Kali. Davy
  5. Keep looking and you will find. The T5's are available used, especially from a Chevy/GM wrecking yard--you may have to order one from one on the net if you can't find one in your area, but that's not too bad. Just make sure it is a World Class unit. Davy
  6. I think this is the build article on the 377: http://www.airflowresearch.com/articles/article03/A3-P1.htm Davy
  7. Me too! Man, I would love an inground lift even more, with a pit to crawl under the car...*sigh*...maybe someday I'll get one!! Davy
  8. Found some others! Davy
  9. What do you want in a garage? How about this for starters? My 2 car garage seems bearly enough for junk let alone nice stuff like this. I could definitely go for a three or four car garage; at least the wife could park in there--I think the lack of garage parking is a bit of a sore spot around here Anybody else have some pics or ideas they want in a dream garage? Davy
  10. You know, the whole concept of "rice" was started by the Riceboy website that apparently no longer exists. The use of the term has gotten out of hand and now it is used for everything Japanese or Asian. Pathetic. The term "Riceboy" was used to ascribe meaning to someone who uses stickers and gaudy "aerodynamic" parts on their cars to have them appear to be some sort of race cars, but they still don't have the punch where it counts. In other words, it is more of a poseur thing then anything else and even dips into extreme tastelessness. Just because a Z or even a Honda is lowered, has tuner wheels, and has a MOMO steering wheel does not mean it is anything related to being "rice." Now, add a fart pipe, a slew of big stickers, neon lights, etc, and you just might get there... Davy
  11. I gasped at that pic, because I really thought it might be you....it is you isn't it??? Davy
  12. Jason, I think a 3/8" line should be EASY to blow through IMO. The inside diameter is such that it is roughly the thickness of a pencil, right? That would make for 'easy' breathing. I'd look for something in the line, because it sounds all wrong from what you say. My $.02. Davy
  13. Is that where they got the term "artery plug" for hamburgers? It's either that or someone has an extreme case of protein deficiency. I may order one the next time I'm there Davy
  14. Ditto that AND MORE! If you really want to feel good, get a "Historic Vehicle" license plate and everyone else can go pound salt!! The spirit of the law says that I don't have to have a smog check seemingly because my old car can't comply with present new car smog requirements anyway, so I'll remove the old, smoking L24 and stab in a newer, high performance Chevy V8 that runs cleaner, looks better, performs oh so well--especially with no smog restricting equipment, and everyone else can GO POUND SALT!!!!!!!!!! Less particulate matter in the air, less oil burned, me happy, planet happy, only smog Nazi not happy. Davy
  15. I'm actually glad they got spanked for selling clear (instead of red) brake light lenses. It's the law stupid... I think we need a smiley that has a "Duuuh!" look on it. Davy
  16. I never believe sentences that claim "all" like he did. I think he gets off by razzing people that call him. Is your car a 240Z? If so, he can put a sock in it. Give it some time and try to email JTR with a few questions (not a book, mind you) and see what Mike Knell has to say. "Chassis specific" sounds like legalese for "I'm not sure either, but this sounds good." Davy
  17. I like ZGs!!! Not ragging on Scott or anything, but I like Z cars flared or not. Variety is the spice of life, no? Great photoshop, Bushido!! Davy
  18. Extremely sanitary install--almost 'factory' An engine that will turn the Caddy into a real muscle car! Davy
  19. See my email to you about Express Auto Clinic--they are VERY capable and honest IMO. That price sounds buttugly high IMO. The older Nissans/Datsuns are so simple to work on, it is highway robbery to charge that much, even in the Bay Area. Davy
  20. Nope, I have not seen it before--thanks for posting it! Love the look... Davy
