  1. Man, that is too cool. If his is one of the originals with the Italian wheels, louvered hood and whatnot, it is probably worth a few pennies It takes a real man to pound one of those babies! But just wait until you spank him on the track!! Davy
  2. Should not be a problem at all. Stick with the mounts you have and save the money. Good luck with your swap!! Davy
  3. I'd say Alligator in a nice spicy piquant sauce is the BOMB! Also, Kangaroo steaks are different, but tasty. Buffalo is a bit dry IMO, but has a mild flavor and goes well with a good lager beer. The various kinds of sushi are OK, but always with BEER... Davy
  4. Nope! David K is right on the money on that one: the lighter color makes the object appear larger. White is the best color to paint a spoiler in that case. Flat black was always used to make spoilers and air dams 'disappear.' My $.02. Davy
  5. Man, with some cost effect penny-pinching, the money could be spent on even better parts or custom work. Ahhh, it must be nice to have a latent $30K just lying around... Someday, it may happen...but I hope I'm the one with the $$$$$$$ Davy
  6. You may want to email Ross Corrigan at http://www.modern-motorsports.com and find out what brake packages he can come up for you at a cheaper cost then Arizona Z... Just a thought. Ross does a fantastic job of putting together these kinds of things using quality parts. I'm buying his 13" Xtreme brake package for the fronts. I have the 240SX conversion for the rear in hand but still have to install it. It's stuff like this that gets me excited Davy
  7. Sorry, the Alfas are cool cars so they don't qualify for this thread... I think the Lancia Beta coupes are kinda quirky but cool, and so are the Volve 240 DL 2 door models. I had one and was thinking about putting in a V8 using the JTR Volvo V8 conversion manual...sold it before I could Davy
  8. 12 full inches above the frikken hood in the JTR setup?!?!? How the heck is that possible? Am I losing it here? What don't I understand? Granted the Air Gap manifold is roughly a mid rise intake, but a complete foot above the hood sounds more like a tunnel rammed smallblock with velocity stacks... Got pics? Davy
  9. So what are the dimensions of the oil pan vs the 'standard' Chevy pan? You have pictures? I'm not sure how many guys here have the same truck. Davy
  10. OK, now I feel safe enough to take a ride in your car! lol Looking good, Don! I was wondering when you would go the roll bar route. Going for 10's?!? Who did the fabrication and welding BTW? Davy
  11. The performance of your headlights will always 'suck' unless you start using relays to handle the power that goes to them. Many guys are using the stock headlights with ONLY a relay and voila, instant light upgrade. I don't have time to post any links or threads here, but all this information is waiting in the archives. Davy
  12. The only thing cooler is if the dog was riding shotgun in your car lol That was a truly entertaining story---thank you!! Davy
  13. Did you end up buying a Lakewood or something similar? I have been considering the Lakewood, but that is close to $300...I suppose my feet are worth it though Davy
  14. The Civic unit (motor and squirrel cage) is supposed to work and be a practical bolt-in--do a search bubba There are some good threads about this very topic. Pete Paraska used one from a Lincoln (?) and it blows serious air, but it requires some "cobbling" as he put it. Hope this gives you some ideas. Say, you are talking about the fan motor, yes? Davy
  15. Heh, cool! You can do a burnout in front of the office (again) when everything is working... Davy
  16. I bought mine from either Kragen, Pep Boys or Northern Auto Parts (can't remember) and it fit oh so snugly Your local place should have them--it is a fairly common part. Davy
  17. The cost seems more then fair and the job looks top notch Davy
  18. You might want to try Pegasus Racing---they seem to have everything. Also, wouldn't Racer Wholesale have something too? Sorry I can't provide links to these, but I know they're out there... Davy
  19. I saw some adapters Ross had for a Lamborgini Diablo----wicked and thick I tell you. Ross, we have to hook up again sometime!! Call me if you are ever in San Francisco Yes, Ross is THE man!!! Davy
