So the Explorer passed smog. Everything seems fine, except for the 118/118 on the HC... Why are those so high? What usually causes high HC, lean, rich? Has EEC-IV learned that I like to floor it at that RPM sometimes and gives it extra gas there? Thanks!

I pieced together my own clutch setup for the T-5+302 the original .75" bore MC I used was too small. I am trying a 1-1/8" setup which should work well. 1" Might be sufficent. Ill get back to you guys once I finalize testing. The .75" MC only moved the clutch about 1/2 of what we needed if I remember correctly. 1-3/8" stroke is what we are looking for.

Looks to be R200. I said search because the information is in the sticky labeled "Complete Differential List" right at the top of this forum... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=103512&page=3 Halfway down that page is all the info you need. 280ZX 79 MT,4 Spd,2 Seater (3.364) (R180) 280ZX 79 MT,5 Spd,2 Seater (3.364) (R180) 280ZX 79 All With Automatic(3.545) (R180) 280ZX 79 MT,4 Spd,4 Seater (3.364) (R200) 280ZX 79 MT,5 Spd,4 Seater (3.7) (R200) 280ZX-GL 79 (3.7) (R200) That is what pertains to you. You must have a 2+2 of a GL if you had an R200 stock which it appears you do have. Maybe you got the 3.36 which would be worth a pretty penny.

I think you are running a Tomei LSD. In anycase I wouldnt think donuts would kill clutches. I thought the clutches were killed when you are pulling hard out of a corner and the differential between the two wheels is high. When doing donuts I would think the differential between the wheels to be similar. In any case the Nismo PG unit has more aggressive ramp angles then stock for harder lock up and most likely has 3 or more clutches a side. I believe the tomei unit has the same angles or about the same as the PG.

I would assume any L powered car. So 1970-1983 cars should all bolt up no problem. Now if you know ratios or which is the best, that is another matter.

Ya, you probably have the foxbody pan. Explorer pans are front sump, my brother even has one never used in his barn. When you buy a crate 302 from Ford they come with the Explorer pan. I guess that is what they are tooled up for (atleast at the time my brother got his).
-
By front sump do you mean like an explorer oil pan where the bump is towards the front of the car? I thought you needed rear sump like the 73 vans I believe it is. Might search for this one.

Sorry to hear. I don't know how available 240z's are in Florida, but I would buy a new one. And I woudl reuse the wheels and all those good parts and build up the car the way you always wanted to.

Atom would smoke a veyron to 150mph... No offense I really doubt that since the Veyron is already faster from 0-60... Veyron has more Hp/lbs aswell as AWD. 0-60 is 2.5-2.6 sec Atom 0-60 is 3.5 sec N/A and 2.9 sec Supercharged I believe.

My name is Micheal Molto.I am a 48 years old european businessman . i was just about registering on Craigslist when i saw your ad.from what i saw i think its best i get in touch with you, here's a bit about me.I come to the states mostly for business purposes cos i have got a family business all about jewelry, I have a small company of my own called GORKY JEWELS { best in cartier} outside the family business. I generally supply watches, bracelets, wedding rings and jewelries to stores in the states and ontario dealers known to my family and myself .Infact that is my family business cos we are from Canada. I bought a house last year in the area cos i love it there, here is a link to view pics of the house http://s139.photobucket.com/albums/q316/HousePictures2view/ ,it is a peaceful, wonderful house and in a loving neighborhood. Unfortunately my father passed away on the 19th of the month and as the only son in my family im to take care of the family business in Canada and i realised that it will be a bit difficult to supply goods to my clients in the states while am away and it will definitely cost me a lot to transact cos after delivery of goods i accept cash and checks for huge amounts,so transaction problem is what i might be facing especially with dealers in the state and i dont also want to lose my clients or customers there . So what i thought of doing is to look for someone to stay at my house free of charge .... . Really i dont want to sell the house cos i just bought it and its a wonderful piece with luxury. Im looking for an ideal person or family who are honest, trustworthy, responsible, capable and clean for two reasons 1. is to maintain the house when i m away 2.To help me receive payments from my clients within the states on my behalf in his/their name and recent address and have it processed then send it out to me here thru money gram transfer or bank transfer until i can get them moved in my house and so they can make use of my address to the house for them to recieve the payment in their names. you dont have to pay me a dimme for the accommodation, but you will have to maintain the utility bills plus i will not be stayin with you for long when im intown. its just for the purpose of keeping my house safe and my business going on in the state while im away sort of house sitting but you must understand that this will not affect your own personal job at all and if you would like to keep this assignment as a job let me know so i can allocate 5% on each payment that you receive and i will make sure i see to all tasks incurred on you by my checks. The house is a great with clean 3bathrooms,walk in closet, A gym ,All 4rooms and living room furnished with electronics . If you want i can email you more pictures and if you are interested let me know It is a very lovely house and there is no way you wont like it.If you are interested in handling my business in the state and keeping the house neat, please send me your full name and address with your phone number so i can have my lawyer make the necessary background check on you right away and we can proceed bcos im looking for someone to be moved in as soon as i find a perfect fit ..I am in Ontario now and will be awaiting your swift response. thanks Micheal Molto Im looking for somewhere to live with 3 roomates next year... thats what I go in reply. Coincidence? Used craigslist. His email has the same first_last@yahoo.com format. Calling scam!

Ya i would love to pick up another car, but as said before, would probably tear it all appart. Heh. Plus it has the AOD which would need to be swapped for a T5.

It is for sure 3.54 in the Turbo, 3.9 In the MT, and 3.54 (R180) in the AT. I would go with a 3.54, but it really depends on your tire diameter and motor. PS. You might do like I did and get a 3.7.... They are very common http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=103512&page=3 Post #52 of that thread specifies which cars came with what rear ends. Make sure to get an R200 if you plan to build your motor up.
