Hello,can anyone explain me why bent fins are bad for I/C, if there are few bends then can I/C can still work fine? Thank you !

Good place to start is to do a search in turbo forum and also on Zcar.com.Check out this site it has great info http://www.hammondsplains.com/zclub/techtips/ Your L24 isn't a good start to turbo swap due to high CR,around 9.0,plus E31/88 heads which came with L24 engine don't accept FI ( if i wrong on this one someone please correct me ) So what usually people do is to locate used L28et and use it, or use P90 head to decrease CR. Anyway, do a search you will find tonns of info from engine questions to what rear end you should use.Check also http://www.Zhome.com.Good luck

Here is post which TonyD reffered to: You need to get a Haynes manual for '79 to '83 280ZX. This is the one with the red cover. Look on page 252, this is the wiring diagram. You will see 3 plugs labeled "1,2,3" with circles around the numbers. This is at the lower left-hand side of the page. The wires are as follows: Plug 1= BR 12v power source. Positive G 12v power source. Positive Plug 2=Y start signal (+) GL ground for inhibitor switch YW speed sensor (not necessary) Y A/C signal (+) YW coil (-) (must use ignitor) B fuel pump ground if using modulator Plug 3=LR fuel pump relay G ignition .signal (+) for air regulator W not used Y not used BW ignition signal (+)

There is a lot of info on this board,check Turbo forum,this question was asked before.Use search option. Also for $1000.00 you would be able to find 280zxt and swap engine in 240z.But there is more then just engine swap. If you want to do it right,you probably would need to update brakes/suspension/rear end. Use search on Zcar.com and Zhome.com.You will be surprise how much info you will be able to find.Good luck.

Guys, i got triple Solex really cheap,but i am not sure if they are the right ones.Well, they are rebuild 40, but i just need someone who can look on the picture and say if they can be used as a set on Canon manifold.I live in Los Angeles area, so if someone is close i'd like to come and show them.If not i can send pictures.Please help me out on this one. I did all that,plus i stoped the car when i saw his lights flushing, he didn't even followed me.But i see, i think more of a traffic school, becaue i just don't want to go in court,but we will. Euro has single groove,original 240z has two. Mine had three grooves because i had a/c installed when i bought the car.Hope this helps.

Well, today was my unlucky day i guess.I saw a dream that the cop pulled me over and he did in real life. Yes, speeding! My friend was waiting for me, and on 101 freeway was huge accident ( truck full of cars hit the wall ) So i took detour on 170, by that time friend called twice.Gees,so i was going fast on almost empty street, and that's when i saw Him on the bike, and he had a radar 56mph in 35 mph zone. Bad,bad,bad driving! Anyway, this my second ticket in my life, first one was in'95 same thing: cop on a bike with radar on Sunset Blvd in Beverly Hills,that time i think it was 54mph in 35 mph zone.Well i think fines went up for last few years.But anyway,any suggestions what i should do? Go to traffic school and forget about anyting or go to court and if cop will show up ask for traffic school from judge? Postpone the cort? So what do you think guys? Thanks, David

I won't mention anything from this board to him,period. I'm not able to do fixing to my car in the area where i live.In case you are wondering i need to change bushings in control arms front and rear,transmission, shocks/springs and rear end( going to lower gear )So maybe it's one day job for some shop,but i definetly don't have tools and place to do it on my own.Car is not my daily driver,just weekend fun,so it's not really emergency for me.Thanks anyway.
