  3. Well, after 5 years i think i am close to finish line as never before.But on the other hand does anyone knows where finish line is? Seems to me as long as i have this car i can find something that needs to be done. After two engines, 3 rear ends, 3 transmissions, 2 pair of carbs i think my car is there.It's not the fastest car on the street but i do enjoy it,even right now i want more speed and more HP and more torgue.... i guess as everyone else. I changed almost everything on this car and probably had put around 2000 miles since rebuild the engine back in 2001.I don't know what i didn't change on the car, because after fixing one thing the other needed attention or replacment. With 4.37 in the back car drove great, but was not fun on freeway,so i changed it to 4.11 LSD now car is more easy to drive and it still spins tires through the shifting 1-2 and i think today it did in 2-3. There is room for improvemnet.It might go 0-60 in 6 flat after i will have more time with her and might go mid 14s , might have to change tires to better brand though. Thank you all for all answers to my questions during this building time. Well, now it's either Rebello head or other 240z and this time it will be either turbo or V8. Looks great, i wonder if they do the same with coupe when it will hits to showroom next year or so.But the price is too high.With options and fees it will hit mid 40s, considering that you can get C5 Z06 for less i don't know if you can call it a bargain. I red somewhere that later Pontiac has plans for turbo L4 engine in it, that might beinteresting.

  9. If you in a market for used Volvo then i'd suggest look for late moded n/a 940. Great RWD car, parts are not cheap but not very expencive either. Most importat thing look for a car which was regulary serviced, ask for papers, even better if the previos owner took it to the dealer for service.My dad has been driving Volvos for last 10 years, 2-240 and last one 940. He loves them and doesn't want any other car. 940 is more comfortable then 240. Well, hope this helps.
  10. I was searching web and found this car, and i think the lines ( from the side ) are close to 240z, even it's a retro look car. If i saw something like this on a Nissan dealer lot i would buy it in a heart bit, damn i would buy it from any dealer must be cheaper though, about $130,000.00 right now.   12. I don't know if it worth the asking price, even by today crazy muscle car prices.I saw one on Barrett-Jackson action two-three years ago, and if i remeber correctly i went lower then 100K. But such jump in price in a few years is not realistic, at least that's how i view it.

I don't know about Dodge '33 P/U but Chevy '56 or '57 P/U totally restored with rare factory dual carbs went for 45,000.00 And then there was other Chevy P/U which was choped and hot roded it went more then 80,000.00 SO if you start restore yours or customise it you probably could get good deal on it one day.

I can't belive my eyes.... the prices went up on classic cars probably more then prices on properties in CA lately.I just saw 1970 Hemi Cuda sold for $250,000.00 I remeber 10 years ago the classic cars market was more affordable then now days. It looks like market going crazy as it was in late '80, and then it crashed of course but i don't see it happening now. I remeber you could find Mustang and Cameros in a good condition in Recycler for about 4-7 grand, 240z can be had for $1500-2500. I remeber once i was looking at '71 yellow car in a ok condition, the guy even rebuild the head on it, all he wanted $300, and i didn't like it,what was i thinking??? I rember the other guy had Pontiac Firebird 400 '68 with rebuild engine, car probably need couple grand to look great, i passed that oportunity too. Only if i knew that the prices would go that high.... DO you think this prices is for real? I red an article in one of the classic car magazines, the author bought Alfa Romeo , i think it was 2900B, which needed total restoration for 30Gs, then the same day he sold it to his friend for 60Gs and his friend in the evening sold it to the buyer in Europe for 85Gs all in one day !!!! If i only had a time machine.....

  22. I had lifter ticking in my SUV Mitsubishi Montero Sport.The car had almost 50 thousand miles.And i used Mobile1 syntetic oil since the car had 3000 miles. I went to the dealership because car was still under the warranty, and they said that first i need to performe engine flush.And i did.The noice gone now, and i put another 20000 miles on that car without any problems.In fact, i liked the results and took all cars in my family including my 240z to performe flush.The engine runs much smoother you can feel it right away.I don't know if i gain any HP or my MPG went up, don't think so.But i really liked the results.The power flush was performed with Bilstein r2000 machine, as they say this power flush takes out all sludge which accumulates with time inside the motor.I highly recomend this power flush to anyone who's car is more then 50,000 miles.The usuall cost is about $120.But i got a deal at $100.So, if you own the car and would like to keep it in a good running condition, do the power flush, even it seems that $100 is a lot, i think the money are well spend.Just my 02.

    Hello, the question which you asked doesn't have one simple answer.Power can be ranged from 150 to 250 HP and prices could be ranged from $300 from used one to probably $3000 for full rebuild and race prepared engine and even more.Modifications?Aftermarket FI,carbs,cams,head work,valve job,ignition,balancing, blueprinting, everything could be modifided in order get more HP and torque.What is your goal? Do you want daily driver, weekend warrior, autocrossing, drag race? If you do a search again you can find tonns of info on this site, prepare to spend hours reading posts.Just my .02
