stony
That exhaust manifold in the earlier pictures is an ebay manifold? how did it fit?
richracing
It actually lined up perfect. I'm not sure how it fits when inside the engine bay yet though.
BluDestiny
Keep it up, I want to see a detailed install into the car. You can never have enough writeups
richracing
I am currently in Korea and have been for the past 13 months, so I apologize for the lack of install pics. My friend Jon Taylor started tearing the old L28 out last month. I'll be home next month, so I'll take plenty of pics then.
stony
Is it a universal rb manifold or does it only have the rb25 stud pattern?
richracing
http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=MF-RB20-TOP-T3&Category_Code= Here is the manifold. I got it off ebay, but i don't think it is for sale on there any more. The description says it fits RB20 and 25, so I don't know how well it would fit a 26. I will say this though... For a CX Racing manifold, it is built very well. The material used is really thick, welds look good, and looks good inside too. Soon enough I will see how it performs. Snailed
It's nice to see a car that doesn't have one of the normal options for wide fenders. What's your plan for the downpipe & exhaust?
richracing
I'm thinking 3" all the way back with an electric cutout, but I'll cross that bridge when i get there.
J Taylor
I'm enjoying working on this one. Nice break from working on z32's everyday! lol

gmanatc97
You have been in Korea for the last 13 months? Are you ARMY? I only had to spend 12 months in that country, Camp Red Cloud, but that was 00-01. Nice to see the drivers in Korea are still aiming at military vehicles for a check from government. gmanatc97
Sweet, you staying at the Dragon, do they still do that? I do like what you have done with the car though. Your pics gave me an idea what mine will look like soon. I have the same air dam and planning on only using the upper grill and no bumpers. richracing
Finally made it back to the states! So time to get to work on this thing... Lets start with the dash restoration and Speedhut gauges...
richracing
I would recommend to anyone using these gauges... buy 2 extra oem 280z clock gauges, because it makes for a super easy install. No cutting or trimming required.
