subtle_driver
Here is something I made to extend out from my custom made downpipe with recurculated wastegate, when installing an rb26det into a 260z at work. it sounds amazing, and looks subtle. full 3" turbo back system with dynomax strait-through muffler. takes just one minute to install or remove, full v-band mounting etc.
stony
If you have access to ordering from kakimoto, this exhaust is badass and bolts in. I used it in my original rb set. It was easier to modify a pre built exhaust vs building a custom one. Kinda pricy at 900 US but if you are going to have someone make an exhaust for you this may be cheaper. I'm considering this route myself when i upgrade my current exhaust. http://www.kakimotoracing.co.jp/01-01-01_n1.html#S30 I believe the kameari header has the same header flange that the kakimoto exhaust has. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/76006-kameari-exhaust-stainless-header/ The kakimoto JDM header will not fit USM cars. (別売ã®HYPER 80 レーシング(NR013)ã¨ã‚»ãƒƒãƒˆã§ç„¡ã‘ã‚Œã°å–付ä¸å¯ã€‚)※3)å–付時ã«ã‚¯ãƒªã‚¢ãƒ©ãƒ³ã‚¹ãŒç‹ã„部分ãŒã‚ã‚‹ãŸã‚ã€å–付時ã«ã¯åŠ å·¥ãŒå¿…è¦ãªå ´åˆæœ‰ã‚Šã€‚
noelawinslow
How do some of these setups sound? I'm about to build my exhaust system but I am aiming for a high pitched scream instead of a deep rumble.

The Drag header comes in 45 and 48mm the flange is a straight cut that flows under the firewall. If the exhaust is straight then maybe, also the Kameari is divided pipes. Depending on the length of the kakimoto exhaust it could either be too long or too short. Japanese headers are different legnths depending on brand. Timecode
Thanks for the response guys. I'm leaning toward stuff like this. I like the twin tip but want to see how bigger tips would like on the 240z. #2 is a S2000 but the pipe size is right. duragg
your gonna want smaller dual pipes, or one pipe with no resinator and just a glasspack at the end. Yup. That is what I have for today (going away tomorrow). 6-1 headers with MSA Twice Pipes and glass packs, nothing else. Raspy higher pitched tone that gets many compliments. redlinevo7
I went twin outlet for my rb motor, had to run a fuel cell for it though. Here is my setup... Twin turbo 2.5" into 3" Flex into Single 3 to twin 2.5" muffler out with 2.5" and HKS tips. All stainless. My first muffler job and was no picnic especially working less than 2' off the ground. CarJway
Got this done at Mandrel Bending Solutions in MD. Straight through Vibrant muffler sounds crisp/deep at all RPMs. These pictures are very old so don't mind the dirt/grime on the car.

LanceVance
They look like Nissan Cube tails. I've read a few posts talking about using them, never seen until now. Looks much better than I had imagined!

Is that just a collector or some type of resonator?
ZT-R
In that picture its just the way the pipe is bent and all. Now i had a resonator made in 4" oval and it is right under the drive shaft. It sounded sooooo good without the resonator but it was just to loud for the streets here. Every 4th car is a cop...
9rider
Here is mine - Wicked Flow. Don't laugh please , I gather all the junk part from my friend junk yard and put in my Z. Don't really think to start the project yet. I wouldn't change if it wasn't rust thru.

BLOZ UP
Loved the look, so I had to steal it....sorry BLOZ UP. Lol Eh? Yours looks like someone else's more than mine? Plus, I've fixed mine so it has legit hangars and hugs the body now. Don't seem to have pics. I dont know if thread already exists but it would be awesome to hear your custom exhaust notes..
