logan1
Ok so once again im trying to make a chin splitter for my 240z. Im currnelty tyring different designs and thought i could you a lil input from you guys. Should i stay with the more angular design or should i round the splitter out to match the lines of the airdam? I marked out the cut line if i were to make the splitter rounded to match the airdam. Or maybe it looks better without a chin splitter. Let me know you thoughts. JMortensen
Obviously the straight one has more potential to make a lot more downforce. I think you need to duct the radiator though, otherwise you'll end up shoveling extra air into the grill which can result in net upforce as John Coffey has talked about in the past. If you go big on the splitter, you'll probably end up needing something in the back end, spoiler or wing, to balance it out. It's not just a one and done thing. rturbo 930
In terms of looks, I think it looks out of place. Do a search on the splitter that 240hoke made. Not sure if the pics would still be up as it was probably 6+ years ago. Not sure how functional it was, but it looked decent.
logan1
On the back end I have a CF Sparrow-tail spoiler to hopefully balance out the splitter. The big splitter imo looks out of place as well. That why I'm considering reshaping it to make it match the body lines better. V-Fib
Is it going to be adjustable or fixed? I'm interested in seeing how this turns out.
m1ghtymaxXx
Is the goal aerodynamics or aesthetics?
RebekahsZ
Who cares about the splitter(?)-the thing to love on that car is the sequential!
