onyx_riddle
I cannot find this car anywhere. My Google-fu is usually black belt level but I just can't pull it off. It was an s30. The guy cut the whole front end and it was flat like a 510. Then he put the headlights back in and did a "challenger" styled front bumper out of fiberglass. Could anyone help me find this beast? I have a 79 rust bucket and I'm looking for certain inspiration on this rather bizarre build we are planning. I'll start a thread once we get started . Nelsonian
I think this might be a custom build that I remember seeing here about a year or more ago. I can't remember the title though.
rturbo 930
I'm pretty sure I know what car you're talking about. That was a long time ago though. Maybe 2012? I'll see if I can find it.

onyx_riddle
Thanks guys!!! I have a 79 that we are going to put on a silverado chassis. The car is rusted to the core and I cant get a title for my truck so we are just going to make a hell of a project out of the two. The frame will have to be stripped down to running gear first then measurements begin for shortening. It's early stage but we're all motivated. Thanks again guys! oh and by the way, I wouldn't DARE do this to my 76. I'm not an animal
luseboy
Is this gonna be a lifted 4 wheeler Z? I've seen a couple pictures of cars people have done like that and I think it's a cool thing to do to a junk Z, certainly easier than replacing the whole frame. rturbo 930
Interesting project. I've seen it done a few times. I saw an old Mustang on a frame with massive wheels and tires around here. 4x4 converted cars look goofy, but if the car is junk, why not? Better than scrapping it. onyx_riddle
Yup. We will try to keep it low but the Datsun will be all but completely cut underneath. The floor will all be fabricated to accommodate for how low we can actually rest the body. (The radiator and overall length had me considering a 510 style front end like that challenger project but I doubt we do that. It's still in planning but the project is coming. Getting new leads for our arc welder and ordering a mig welder. I've had a lot of projects die off early so it's nice to have 2 other folks excited to help. Fkn fingers crossed, boys! seattlejester
I had forgotten this existed. I used to live a few blocks from newport, wonder if he is still around.
Tony D
Well with the existence of that Hakotora kit now, making a Box Skyline front end to graft on to it won't be as daunting! LOL
