love-my-V8-280Z
No questions about it, fake! bank note only... And they never get our language right.... lowest miles car in the world. I dont think anyone selling this car would allow a sentence like this to slip
Guest BigWhyteDude
US $354,200.00 I hope someone was just messing with this guy...... Andrew
jgkurz
So did they just take the car for a spin a pull it into the grass to take the picture...? Strange for sure. For those tires to be original they would have had to put the car up on it's frame and deflate the tires for 34 years. It looks real enough, but I don't buy it. Literally! I almost bought a 1970 white SS Chevelle LS5 a while back, but didn't want to spend the money. Definitely nice cars any way you look at it. rags
If it were authentic I would think it would be sold through Barrett Jackson. Joe
JMortensen
Doesn't Barrett Jackson take 30% or something insane like that? It's kind of a mixed blessing, because people get serious buyer's fever at auctions, but the commission IIRC is really high. Yeah John, that '69 would make a bitchin tow rig for my Z... EvilRufusKay
I find it hard to believe that someone bought t6his car over 30 years ago and only put 26 miles on it. Or am I missing something?
JMortensen
OT, but might explain the mileage: There was a guy who used to go around on the Porsche concourse circuit with an '86 911SC. Nothing special car, just your run of the mill 911. But it had 6 miles on it! He had an enclosed trailer, and just took it to shows to win. IMO, a waste of a car, but there are people out there that do that sort of thing. Side note, he lost to one of my old shop's customers who had the same exact car with 80K on it. He was really pissed off, and complained to the judges, who said "Yeah, your car is perfect, but his is 99%, and he DROVE it here". So I guess the moral of the story is that there IS some justice in the world... Jon
EvilRufusKay
OT Sorry Jon I don't know what that means "Yeah, your car is perfect, but his is 99%, and he DROVE it here". So I guess the moral of the story is that there IS some justice in the world... Jon Awesome story!!! It's the little things in life right? johnc
here is my silver 69 chevelle Real close to what I want, but the graphic of a girl pissing in a martini glass kind turns me off
SBC_400
I never thought of the "pissing" aspect when I made tha graphic. hmmm
Guest Thurem
Maybe he just put some dubs on it when new, then just turned a 100,000 miles, had it detailed and put the old tires back on. Thure
love-my-V8-280Z
We are all just all haveing fun aren't we I hope?? This guy is not for real. Guest 280ZX_Classic
The guy is not for real, but the car is. Back like a year ago it was in the dupont registry for sale with it's own centerfold like foldout ad. I remember it clearly. The guy bought it and garaged it from day one, removed the battery and gas tank, and waited over thirty years then decided to sell it. It was certified and everything. It was obviously sold like a week later, and those are just pictures of the car. But just to make everyone happy that someone owns a car that valuable, it does exist.
