I read it before and I read it again now... I still don't get it. It's supposed to be funny I take it, but how? Seriously, I'm stumped.

 

it's a play on how the japanese pronounce some common english words.

 

Ice cream = aisu kurimu (prounced ah-ay-soo kuh-ree-moo, yes the a and i in aisu are pronounced as two seperate syllables).

 

Baseball = besuboru (an ever popular pun on the Japaneses' lack of the L sound, instead pronounced more like an R, also every consonant sound in japanese ends in a vowel sound except the sound N).

 

Anyways... kinda funny :mrgreen: a lot of people will hear japanese say these common english words (as they are commonly used in Japan for a lot of things) and not even realize what they are saying.
