Tri-Star Posted April 11, 2006 Share Posted April 11, 2006 The car is getting painted yellow with black stripes doe sure. The air dam and spoiler are getting paint black for sure. I would like your opinions on whether I should add the reverse yellow stripes on the air dam and spoiler. I do have another idea for you though, what about painting the recesses on the air dam yellow to match? That way get integrate it into the yellow a little bit more easily. It's not as harsh. Boobala Posted April 12, 2006 Share Posted April 12, 2006 I'm very conservative when it come to car paint and prefer subtle solid colors, but I realize other don't feel the same and actually like thier cars to look like easter eggs. I guess that's okay on show cars and race cars but I think street cars look better with one solid color. Having said that... Rally stripes are about the only "graphic" I come close to liking. If you must paint it "Arrest-Me-Yellow" ( ), and have stripes, then go with the standard black rally stripes. The other's are too busy. I won't have it for much longer most likely, so it would be worth it to see how it turns out. But it wouldn't be for at least a month. buZy Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 Yellow Rocks! Ok 7 years of art school and designer in the automotive biz for 10 years. I would paint the front and rear spoilers yellow and go with the black stripes. If you like stripes in my opinion having them uninterupted in color works best on the eye.
