Boy from Oz
I can't seem to find any photos of LS1 installations where a brace has been used across the strut towers. Do anyone have a pic? Is there room to fit one?
DaleMX
Yep it fits just fine, I think there is a picture of one in my gallery. The link is in my sig. If you dont see what you want then PM me and I'll get you a pic. EDIT: I dont have one in there, DUH! I'll post one up tonight.

jaime240z
This is not my car but it is a nice way to show that bracing can be done in style:
Phantom
I have one in my gallery too. It's a simpler unit I got from http://www.racetep.com.
iaconsultants
Nice job on that one Jaime240Z, who made that one?
jaime240z
Sorry, it's not my car. I found the pic here on hybridz so maybe the owner will chime in. I agree though, it is very nicely done. I'm sure it's a one-off.
BringIt
Man, I wish I had the Patients to make my engine bay look like that.

Any info on those braces? I see that its on the L6 too. Clean cars, Tyson
viperredls1z
The one on the silver car is a one off bolt on, that was the inspiration for the one on the red car that I welded in place, the tubes are aluminum radius rods for a sprint car. Best looking LS1 install I've ever seen. If somebody were to offer either a bolt-in or weld-in kit for the those "strut bars" I would surely crack open my wallet. BTW, where's the brake-booster/master cylinder, and clutch master cylinder?
JMortensen
BTW, where's the brake-booster/master cylinder, and clutch master cylinder? It's INVISIBLE! J/K. Really its probably got one of these: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/bigpicture.asp?RecId=1094

Great job, It puts mine to shame.
viperredls1z
Thanks for the complements guys.Yes the brakes are willwood and the resevors are under the inspection cover. there are some under construction pics that show it clearly in the other album of z pics you can access from the same link. Phantom
Man, I wish I had the Patients to make my engine bay look like that. If you had the Patients you'd be a doctor and would have enough money to pay someone else to do it. You'd still need patience, though, as they'd probably be too slow! rubin
k i looked through the under construction pictures, but it seems like there's 3 cylinders!?!?!?!? one for the brakes, one for the clutch and the third??? maybe its a larger one for the front brakes and a separte smaller one for the rears? i dunno EDIT: VERY NICE Z btw sooooooooooo clean. i love the perfectly smooth firewall
Phantom
One of the other photos hsows that he is using dual master cylinders for his brakes - one for the front and one for the rear. I didn't see it but I assume they have a balance bar? Also - I noted what looks like dual, in series, adjustable proportioning valves? Workmanship on this car is magnificent. Wow! OlderThanMe
hey viperredls1 I like your wheels...are they diamonds like mine?
viperredls1z
Yes, some of those pictures show 15X7 diamond wheels, the car looks best I think with the 16X7 panasports in silver but I dont think I have any pictures with those. right now I have black Motegi five spoke in 17X8 using 22 MM adapters. the 17X8 works best so I can get 245/45/17 all the way around. Im planing on geting another set in silver soon
