tannji
I owned that kit as well back in the day.... have seen it with a simpler BRE-style rear piece.... didnt look very good, nor did it look right with nothing. I kinda miss the kit.... tho not all the attention it got me was good... as a early 20's driver, police officers seemed to assume that I was up to no good in that car, thank god they never knew it had a V8 as well. Cant wait to see how you finish it off... with the right details it will look very nice indeed. Do you have the huge airdam that came in that kit as well? 2500lb Tuxedo
i like what you did to your rear tail lights... coloring the bar inbetween black.... it looks very tasteful imo. i never liked that piece chrome.
veritech-z
I think it might look better with an extended BRE style spoiler, the tall one? Or maybe something like what the pinks car had, but not just in sheet metal...That way I can use the useless old whale tail....
WickedWild
Seeing that you want to take weight off of the nose I would look into the JTR and LSx. Your only options that don't require changing engine mounts are and LT1 or SBC in the Scrab position both of those are nose heavy.
seeya
I have had two people ask me if I would sell the car and all I can say is for the right price almost anything is for sale, but I am not going to build this car to sell it would have to go the way it is before I paint it and buy an engine. I am not looking to sell, but....??

seeya
Looks like I am going to sell this if someone wants it. I just found another project today:biggrin: . See the classified section if anyone is interested. If I don't sell I will continue to build this, but it is going to take a back seat probably. Corzette
Awesome car. Man I just realized that that kit will allow you to put on over fenders in the rear if you wanted to. You could bring the tire out another 2 inches or so to match them. That would be sweet and mean at the same time. You could go mild or wild....just a thought. iaconsultants
I would suggest with that kit that you fill in the 2 openings on the front side of each rear fender if you do not do an inner fender on them. All kinds of road dirt and rocks will come through there, I know from experience. I actually filled them in because I did not set it up for brake cooling ducting before installing the fenders. I only wanted the rears because I did not care for the front fenders and the rectangular headlights and the back brake in the body flow lines. If you want to add some strength to those fenders along with improving sound, then fill the panels with foam in a can. For this it works well. About swapping engines. The cheapest, easiest way will be going with a small block (350 chevy) You will need a low profile air cleaner and it keep the intake manifold low also and you should be fine with closing the hood afterwards. Good luck and that car should end up being a lot of fun.

I have a cowl hood as well so if I need the extra clearance I should be good:wink:
wingnutthehutt
Don't fill in the vents, go the extra mile and make the functional. I think they look the business and give it a different look than the other kits out there. If I had a place to put it, I'd buy it today.
