DavyZ
NOT ME! I'm thinking to myself: "My, what a heckuva donor car that would be!" I'd buy that for a dollar! Davy
CArFAn
NOT ME! I'm thinking to myself: "My, what a heckuva donor car that would be!" I'd buy that for a dollar! Davy This brings up a good point, i wonder what do they do with crash test cars. I mean they have to go somewhere and i don't think they use parts from them. I wonder if there is like a under ground auction or place they take them after being crashed.
DavyZ
...I mean they have to go somewhere and i don't think they use parts from them... I believe that is correct. It's a darn shame, but I believe they have to crush the car in little bits. I wonder if there is like a under ground auction or place they take them after being crashed. If there was, I'd be there Can you imagine all the good parts?!? Yeehaw! Davy
Cal Poly Zmanaustin
They do crush them. When I used to work for Toyota in the corporate office the nearby R&D guys had prototype vehicles all the time. All were crushed.
CArFAn
Someone should do some deep research into where car plants send there crash test vehicles. The good ones of course, the parts you can get are endless. Just imagine all the free seats, motor sets, supension sets, diffs, etc.. that went to waste. veritech-z
Am I the only person in the world that thought the McLaren was dog ugly? I particularly liked the wiggly steering wheel in the top view of that video...

Daeron
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Swzbt76wBM A couple of links away from your video; that one makes me cringe. I watched this while Green Jello's Three Little Pigs was playing in the background, and the video coincided with the second cycle of the chorus.. it was creepy watching that thing waffle listening to he big bad wolf huffing and puffing..... buZy
It would be interesting a factory datsun S30 240Z crash test. Just to see what happens. I have searched youtube and found nothing.

I have searched youtube and found nothing. I'd be willing to bet the results would put an end to many of us using them as daily drivers... MPD47
The F1 is the only car ever to drive away (normall) from a 45mph full frontal crash test. They literally drove it out of there.
nbesheer
The renault modus looks a lot like the nissan versa. Well renault owns nissan so I don't think that would be too far of a stretch
