bschiltz
Hmmm... I was thinking, maybe the general population is vastly inferior at parking. I know when I was learning how to drive it always helped me to park next to cars as it was easier to judge the distance from a car rather than the line. Maybe all these people never grew out of that stage?
MJLamberson
maybe people are subconciosly (wheres that dern spell check) attracted to Zs
Nizm0Zed
yea, id say thats a good theory, they are such Sexy cars!!! I know i will park next to nice cars, even if im driving a daily, as i know i have respect not to damage them, and i know for a fact they wont damage mine. TrumpetRhapsody, Even though she did deserve it completely, i still had to tell myself that several times after the event, as the guilt of purpously damaging someone elses car was pretty big. I really dont like people with no respect for others belongings.

zman1988
this is the reason why people park so close
Careless
so. a little story i read from another user on a forum i used to frequent. He had parked his car in a spot with a car on the left, and an empty spot on the right. As he got out of the car, an obese lady on her cellphone decides to park in the empty parking spot to the right of his car. She paid no attention to him, so she did not see what he looked like. As she's blabbing on her phone, he nonchalantly walks to the mall side entrance, turning back ever so often to see if she's going to slam her door on his car. Lucky him (or not). As he waited for her to open the door (by this time he was near the entrance, having a smoke) he saw her and her fat ass KNOCK his door with the edge of her door MULTIPLE times to get out of the car, and then proceeded to do the same thing with her rear-driver side door to get her purse. Upon witnessing her ignorance to other peoples belonging, and seeing her vandalize his car with her fat ass, he slowly walked back to the car after she had passed him to get into the mall. He walked VERY slowly to give her time to do her penguin-waddle through the doors and down the first hall of store fronts. He then went to her car and kicked both of her mirrors off her car, left hanging. And parked in the next row over... Lesson to be learned here, folks. I know some of us do it to piss people off, or because we're just males. But lets be gentlemen, not boys. And there's a new rule apparently. Park beside an expensive car so that anyone looking to vandalize or steal your car sees the more expensive one just less than a foot away. I don't see that one working either. xxjoeyxxeb
I've noticed a lot of jealous people see someone with a nice car parked way across a parking lot and just like to mess around with the owner by parking next to it. Parking ACROSS 2 spots is just ahole-ish... don't do it unless you want to be messed with. My friend was sitting in his brand-new rebuilt 71 MGB at the beach in the winter, just chilling alone and some drunk kids came and started yelling at him for no reason then kicked his car, threw beer bottles at it, and hit it with a bat.... legal actions were resolved. I'm still not happy tho.

I dont know about you guys but if somebody started doing that to my Z, pos as it is, and he was drunk, well, I would end up in a lot of trouble
73DatsunZ
I park my Z and Cobalt SS very close to the curb when I drive them places. Neither of them are really spectacular, but I do it because I love them, and don't want damage done to them. I do however like the valve stem deal with crazy people. What does that valve stem tool look like haha.
