Gollum
Not too bad of a power band too! Still pretty gutless bellow 5k though. But I guess if you can rev to 8k reliably then you can cruise down the freeway at 4k, and not be far away from having power on tap.
PhilbertZ
Yeah there are a few other guys pushing 1000 HP with those kits - there's a company in Oregon that offers a kit for the S54 engine: www.horsepowerfreaks.com...pretty nuts. That engine is pretty crazy in stock form (333 HP). My car came with a tuning upgrade from Dinan (chip, intake, exhaust) and puts out 355...but the car is a pig unfortunately with the convertible top and extra reinforcements underneath. Would be great to drop it into a Z And it's not even a V8!
bschiltz
Wow, that is impressive. The plenum looks a lot like the one Ron Tyler made, shape wise.
unofootball43
only if I had that much money....I'd probably buy something else, but it is still bad ass!

hughdogz
I wonder if that is an AQP exhaust cutout. I didn't see mention of it. I wonder why he chose to put it at the end of the exhaust instead of pre-cat. Love this pic, I was planning on adding air horns (velocity stacks?) using a RonTyler / JustinOlson plenum base. Pete84
150,000 in the car!!! Totally crazy!! But with that power curve, I bet it would be livable on the street.
Gollum
pretty gutless at ~300 hp/TQ at 5K rpm lol Yea, not bad.. though you loose 100hp just 500rpm less, and almost another 100hp another 500rpm less. I question how it really drives off boost, but it certainly doesn't look terrible. We've probably all seen dyno graphs of turbo cars that only have a power band of 1.5k, and that's what kills me, people who put on turbos so large the engine takes so long to spool it that by the time it kicks in you have to shift. This one doesn't seem that "bad" but i still has a very small percentage of it's power off boost.
