bens1088
I have a 04 r6 street bike that I was testing waters with. He says he would be interested in a trade. I don't know much about the convertible conversions. What would YOU do? My bikes only worth about 5k. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/873199859.html http://picasaweb.google.com/lordcyril/Datsun240z#
Challenger
Keep the bike. You can get alot nicer (cooler) Z for $6000.
BurnoutZ
That z is ugly imho:icon14:
rturbo 930
One of the better looking convertible conversions IMO, but still ugly. A Z should be a hardtop.
Careless
If it's a convertable and a z that you want. and you want an S30... that looks like a respectable buy for a 6000 dollar Z as far as finding one in good shape with good paint and an easy to drive carb setup. The fact that it's convertable, whether appreciable or not, sorta lends itself to the price as a good selling point, because it's custom, looks decent if not almost dealer-option like in this case, and it works/doesnt leak (or sew it seams! LOL *ahem*). look at it for rust in the common places, and if it's solid, I'd do it if it was one of my better options. I can appreciate the work and the look of it, but I'll take a hard-top any day. Six_Shooter
I'm not a fan of topless S30s, but I do like that one. It's the first one that appears to look "proper" to me. There are a bunch of subtle details that make it work. The trunk conversion looks to be very well done. I absolutly love that tail panel, and is pretty much exactly what I've been thinking of doing with mine.

Them are fighting words for all of us convertible owners. After all this is HybridZ isn't it? By the way your car is ugly too.

Just noticed the tail panel - looks good, and I guess we think similarly since I had planned on doing something similar as well.

Chaparral2f
A Z should be a hardtop. It could use an engine with more spark plugs though. I like it, but what can you expect form me. I'm not really a "purest".
jerryb
Look like its well done. I wouldnt give up my 350 roadster for it ....but its nice! Nothing like open air cruising!

JSM
It's a Z, but it screams Miata. For the money you could buy a very nice used Miata and a very nice Rainbow sticker to boot.
