ORANGEZ
On my 72 datsun z on the metal brake lines the 10 mm bolt connect to the line is almost stripped. I have a 10mm flare nut wrench but it still the bolt is stripping. I need to remove because the metal brake line broke. Any suggestion on how to remove it with out stripping it any further? RUSSJZ-ZED
Vise grips that are made anywhere, EXCEPT China.(Chinese made will always slip with load on-real vise grips, plus 3 pound hammer for gentle tapping)
woldson
Specilized channel locks. Nut busters. It will shear things before slipping.
zcarnut
Yes, Vice-Grips will work. Just use the correct one. These have a “V-slot†to better grip the hex nut. I use mine exclusively on brake line fittings: Irwin Vise-Grip Locking Wrench — 7in., Model# 04 http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200306847_200306847
