Phlebmaster
Phleb, random question, which dizzy are you (were you?) using on your L24? On my DD I was using the old 280ZX non-turbo dizzy but swtiched back to the old L24 with an ignition box. Much more advance now. I have the single points one that was on my L24 in the L26 now. Phlebmaster
Update! THANK YOU PAUL! Took the head to Paul's place today and Chey decked the E88 for me. She almost looks like she knows what she is doing. lol Almost done! Finished! Paul also drilled and tapped the bolt holes and gave her a good looking over. When I got home we put the Z back together and she runns like a champ. Edited October 18, 2009 by Phlebmaster

Phlebmaster
I made a capitol purchase towards the SBC swap...thanks Ron! Comps Xtreme energy hydraulic flat tappet grind #12-211-2, with two changes... it has the 4/7 swap and LSA is 112 (instead of 110). Built for 1.6 rockers, lift is .501"/.501 (If used with 1.5 rockers, lift would be .470) Cam is new/unused. This should rattle my teeth! MAG58
What's the duration on the cam? Should make for an angry sounding Z car. (Maybe that P&P could be put to better use on some SBC heads )

(Maybe that P&P could be put to better use on some SBC heads ) Yeah...maybe....I think I will be looking for some aftermarket aluminum heads that are already optimum. I found this thanks to Grumpyvette!! This should give the details on the 270H-4 cam. Keep in mind that this cam is a special grind so some of the info is different http://www.compcams.com/Technical/TimingTutorial/ Edited October 19, 2009 by Phlebmaster
Administrators RTz Posted October 19, 2009 Administrators Share Posted October 19, 2009 Keep in mind that this cam is a special grind so some of the info is different. Yes. The LSA was widened to 112 (and that chart is based on 1.6 rockers). Should make for a pretty snarly

Administrators RTz Posted October 20, 2009 Administrators Share Posted October 20, 2009 (edited) what are you gonna do with a cute little cam like that? See, I know a certain 'someone', that pulled consistent 12.2's/12.3's in the quarter... with a cam much milder than this one. I 'spect Phleb will have plenty of fun with it Edited October 20, 2009 by RTz
hoov100
When phleb gets this done, we should have battle of the small block z car, north vs south..
