dtaylor
Well I'm one step closer to driving my 73 240z. I still need to wet sand and buff out but it's gettting there..
Iceman
Great job! Just another example of "why the hell can't auto manufacturers paint this good?!" Are you keeping the wheels gold?
z2go
Very nice! Is the color matched to original, or is that a new color? I'm going to be doing orange on mine, but I'm thinking of changing it some from the original orange.

dtaylor
Yes, I'm going to keep the wheels Gold. It's the factory color code. But I think it's a little more brown in it then the stock color..
PalmettoZ
That looks awesome, love the color with the wheels. The wet sand and buff will really make it pop. Great job.

cygnusx1
I really am surprised....the gold wheels look great with the orange paint...than again, anything would look good with that gorgeus paint! Love the spook, and the rear lip too.
ekiernan
That looks REALLY good! I want to post some pics of my Z. Just need to figure out how to do it. '77 280-Z. I am in the middle of an LT1/T56 conversion. Wish I had a fantastic paint job like you've got!
ekiernan
Zed (that is my bird's name too), what did you use for a clutch master in your swap? I am doing the same swap you did ('95 LT1/T56) in my '77. I'm looking at the Tilton 75 series 7/8". Eric
z-ya
What are you going to do for trim, keep it chrome/stainless, or got with a darker color to contrast the body color> I'm still on the fence with my car. I'm thinking either stock chrome/stainless, or a charcoal metalic to contrast the orange. dtaylor
I thought the last 7 months working on the body that Gold wheels with orange paint would look funny. And was going to paint it White or Blue but thought what the hell.. I'm so glad I did the orange.. They look great together!! I had a couple panels that needed to be repaired but the body work came out nice. This has taken longer then the LS1 swap I did to it.. After spending all day wet sanding it. I'm still not happy how flat the paint is. So now I'm going to get it as flat and smooth as I can and Clear Coat it. Then wet sand it again..Maybe that will make me happy.. My plan is to put the chrome and SS back on and get the bumpers redone with the holes filled in. Then start on the cage.. It's going to be a street and Driving school car.. neotech84
+1 Gold rims I am usually not a fan of gold, but I like they way it looks. the orange softens it a lot! Very nice work, can we get the color code?
