Hypothetically, most of the Z forums nowadays are pretty dead. There may be a handful of posts on each one every day. Even though a lot of the information in forums is old, there is still a lot of relevant information on them. It would be sad to see it all get lost. I guess social media or smart phones are to blame. I'm not sure if there was an app for each forum (like a hybridz app) if that would help at this point or not. Everything that is posted in social media pretty much gets lost and is very hard if not impossible to find again, and its mainly just pictures and comments, nothing too technical. Does anyone think that there would ever be a world in which forums would merge before they got totally lost? Like several of the Z forums combining into 1 large Z forum (if that's even possible with the different software they use) to get the handful of people on each one all together so there are decent numbers on one. I worry that one day several of the old forums will cease to exist and all the information in them will disappear forever.

I went to Sweden about 15 years ago, and at night we asked people wheres a good place to go in Stockholm. I guess it was after midnight, and several people said Applebees of all places. I thought that was weird until I got there. It was packed, then then I saw why. People were street racing all kinds of crazy stuff that you could see from the outside tables. I saw everything from a Lambo race a 4 wheeler to a ferrari racing a street bike. It was kind of wild.

Ran across the Roadstr app on youtube. Seems to be bigger in Europe than in the states, but shows a lot of groups here. Its one of those apps that you can make a route for a drive and share it only to your group, and everyone can follow it. Anyone here have any feedback on it or any similar apps for group drives?

The thinnest bottle I could find was an EMPI 15-2060-0 from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FB83UUI?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 I got a piece of ABS from McMaster Carr that was 2.5" wide x 1" thick and shaped it to fit the bracket the best I could. I have it installed but waiting on a plug to come in to wire it up. I ordered this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0E7S8I?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title, you just have to depin it and switch the 2 wires so that the red goes to positive on the pump. The positive on the Datsun harness is blue with the red stripe. The bottle has a terrible cap, but it fits in the space and works.

I got a black ABS pipe fitting from Lowes that fit my hose, drilled out the back of the factory box to accommodate the larger pipe size, and glued it in with the BLACK ABS plumbing glue. Have to use the black, NOT the clear.

10 years later and I finally got around to doing it. I used the sheet of ABS I bought 10 years ago and has been sitting in my garage since. I got a big piece of very thin plastic, probably thinner than poster board to make a template and kept trimming it until it fit OK. Once the actual piece was in, used a heat gun to make it fit the best I could. It's not perfect, but will probably keep 98% of the crud out from behind the fenders. I removed the 2 bottom fender bolts and pulled it out some, and so much crud fell out.

Only part I could find was the capacitor. When I removed them from the 2 clocks I had, the one from the non working clock tested good, and the one from the slow clock tested bad. I replaced them both. Now the slow clock works and holds time, but the non working one must have another issue because it still doesn't move.

My 1978 quartz clock started losing time last summer. I had a spare, so took it apart to see what could be changed. There are only 5 components on the circuit board as follows: 1. 16v 100uF capacitor (Nippon chemi con CEO4W) 2. 200 ohm resistor. (Cant figure out the exact specs. It has 200 ohms and either I or 1 JL6 printed on it and its green. Its about 11 or 12 mm long, which from read I have read may mean its a 1 watt??? and 3 or 4 mm wide. Under it on the board is printed R for resistor presumably.) Not sure what kind of resisitor it is. 3. Next to that is what I'm guessing is a Zener Diode as it has ZD printed on the board next to it, and has a band on one end. Its white with a red band and has either LX or X7 written on it. 4. I think a crystal oscillator labelled 4194.5 TOYO COM 7C4. It has XTA printed on the board next to it. 5. A 16 pin chip that I think the symbol on it may be hitachi? HD44001 7K 33. The capacitors are all over Amazon, so not a problem to find. Does anyone know if any of these other parts can be sourced anywhere? I would like to replace with new as much as possible while I have it apart.

Has anyone replaced their clutch master and the stock washer bottle wouldn't fit back in? What bottle did you end up using?

I used this stuff on mine about 10 years ago. The areas I patched still look great, only problem is the rest of the foam is 50 years old, so it eventually cracks in new and exciting places. If you're able to, get a dash from Hong Vu or one of the other ones supplying it so you don't have to go through pulling the dash again.

I just ran across this, I can't believe it's been this long. Still love the Z. The only thing I have done to it in the past several years was recovering the Miata seats with upholstery from lseat.com. is this site still active?

look around march 2014 posts. I ran the flexible lines around the back on a 78 280. Very tight, but it can be done.

It's easy to adjust, just turn a POT.
