Thanks to all the members who have posted their experiences and wisdom. The project is finally getting close to being done.
I'll be putting the headers and my starter on tonight. Car goes to the shop on the 19th for some frame/cage work.
I finally got around to installing my engine and t56 using John's kit. I was pleased with the install. Everything looks to line up. JTR headers fit as advertised. So far so good.
My condolences to the Family. Very sad news to find this out today. I went to his website this morning and looked here for answers. I purchased his rear brake kit many years ago, but he always treated me as if I was his best customer. He will be missed.
Small world. I met Keith on a few occasions while working at Ruf (now RAC Performance) here in Dallas. You are correct about the runoff at Motorsports Ranch. I have an intact front spoiler to prove it. Eagles Canyon is actually closer to me now, but i'm always down for a day of driving.
Since this is a video thread, here is my good friend Mark Plummer (GrandAm Driver) using my camera in a 996 Cup Car at Motorsport ranch.
thanks! that was the old 3.0L stroker motor built by Rebello Racing. Had header with 3" exhaust w/bored SU's. Friends say it was one of the best sounding cars they've ever heard. The video was from Motorsport Ranch in Cresson TX. The Z is currently under construction getting an LS6/T56 swap.
sorry, Theyre at the shop. Went down to inspect them but completely forgot to snap pictures haha. I'll probably get to it this weekend.
FYI I got them in Royal Black with the Polished lip.
