  1. I just ordered the remaining exhaust material to finish my new oval spintech exhaust system. The car is ready to run with the new powerglide once this is done. I want to run the car at the track and score some 10s timeslips. After that I plan to sell the car to finance the 3RZ powered RX7. I will do another Z when I can do the AWD RB26 swap. I just can't chunk down 5K to get the front clip that is required to do the swap. I can always get another 240Z for cheap. I am not worried about the fabrication involved, but I will need a shop to do that kind of swap. Although ScottieGNRX7 converted to the dark side of the force, I will not give in to the dark side!
  2. The turbo is a GT42R. It is a Garrett full ball-bearing unit. It is flanged for a t4 and has a 4" v-band discharge. The inlet is 5" and the compressor outlet is 3" v-band. The a/r on my turbo is 1.01 and 1.15 for Tim's. This version of the turbo flows 85lbs/min and will support 900hp. There is another version of this turbo sometimes referred to as the GT42RS that flows 95lbs/min. This turbo should outspool Tim's T64 even though it is a much larger turbo. The cost on this turbo is $1950
  3. I woke up this morning to find it trying to eat my 1year old son
  4. Oh yea, it is a MONSTER This turbo only supports 900hp. It is for my next project car. I purchased an 87 rx7 and am swapping a Toyota 3RZ (2.7L Tacoma) motor into it. I also have my intercooler, 24x12x4.5 Garrett GT core. BTW, TimZ recieved his today as well. His L28 should be seeing 650hp@wheels with this new turbo.
  5. Tony, I do not suspect the air/fuel ratio because it was tuned using a wideband O2. You would need to run lean or incredibly rich to make it miss. Tyipcally, a lean miss will create popping sounds when it misses and that is not what I am experiencing.
  6. I believe Russ will be fabricating the pickups for this pan and I will add a baffle system based on his pickup. I will sell them with the pans at an increased price. I will have to wait until he does all this so the details can be finalized. FYI, I do not have one of these motors and was doing this to help out folks who are undertaking this swap. The quality of these pans will be as good as pans produced by Morosso, but at half the cost.
  7. Clint, this is very strange. Why would you post anything to me? You can make threats, curse at me and kick me off your Yahoo Group, but it doesn't work on HybridZ. I do not care for you Clint and will not be selling you anything. Go find someone else to take advantage of in the Zcar community.
  8. The 11.2@130 was with a 1.85 60ft. I would leave the line with 10psi and then go to 14psi after the 1-2 shift. The next track event I went 11.1@126 with the same 1.85 60ft running balls rich on the FJO wideband. Finally, the last event I ran 11.0 @119 with a 1.67 60ft. So what was the problem? The car would not pull on the topend for some reason. My 1/8th mile was quicker (7.0@101), but mph on the topend was gone. I suspect one of two possible explanations. My 7.5 year old coil packs are dying or my tranny was dying. I have since swapped to a powerglide and I will soon replace the coils. However, I believe it is the coils. Before my car went down for the tranny swap I couldn't even run 18psi without the car breaking up under boost. I would swap plugs and it was good for about 1 week and then started again. Anyway, I should be hitting the track within the next 2 months. Here are vids of the runs: http://www.eng.fsu.edu/~jthagard/mpg/
  9. I should have the pan back to me the week after next and will proceed from there. It will up to you to verify whether the pan will work. However, I will try to gather whatever information I can as to the fitment on an RB25det.
  10. ~$325 when the design is finalized. The final pans will use polished aluminum and the pattern is flame cut to exact tolerances. This is the initial mockup pan to verify dimensions.
  11. As some may know I am making 9 sheet metal oil pans for a RWD configuration for the RB26 motor. This mockup pan is being sent to Russ to verify its design. Once complete I will make 9 of these bad boys. The flanges have been cnc'd and all will be professionally TIG welded.
  12. A buddy of mine locally did the RB25 swap into a 240sx. Bone stock longblock laid down 586hp@wheels @ 22psi. Custom intake and header with Big Kahuna turbo.
  13. Damn, you want this thing baffled I suppose that wouldn't be too bad. There goes my profit
  14. Just testing the water to see who would be interested in a custom sheetmetal oil pan for the L6. I will have the flanges cnc'd and the pan will be made from polished .125" aluminum. I will do it if I can sell 10. Price should be about $325 and will increase the oil capacity.
  15. Negative, the big HP supra's are running exhausts as large as 6". Most try to run a 4" exhaust for sub 900hp.
  16. Cronic, here is a link to the classified add. http://hybridz.org/nuke/modules.php?op=modload&name=zClassifieds&file=detail&cat=72&de=580 The price is $660 for this new Garrett turbo. As with any aftermarket turbo you have to fabricate your own downpipe. The flange for the dp is $12 and it is fairly easy to do. I can take a pic tonight and post.
  17. Aren't you supposed to find a new home? And for goodness sake atleast change your posting name to something like...ScottieGN7 I know let us take a vote to see what your new name should be.
  18. final 2 custom intake manifolds internally gated t3/to4e 57-trim
  19. It is hard to see, but right before the pipe passes through the fender well it merges from 2 pipes into 1.
  20. If that is a new center section then the price is very good.

  22. Powerglide has been in the car for a few weeks and the mount has been fabricated. I received my custom driveshaft yesterday and it is now bolted into the car. The only thing remaining is to modify the exhaust and hook up my new Quarterstick II shifter.
  23. I am not trying to be negative, but he did offer a refund. These days you cannot expect someone to be nice. I would take the money and be done with it or have it repaired locally. The balls in the CV axle cost almost nothing and it can be repaired for very cheap. Probably cheaper than the cost to have it shipped back.
