  1. Aluminum on both sides and bubble wrap in the middle. I purchased 3 rolls from an Ebay seller that is local to my area. Yes, I made them with some sewing help from my mother-in-law. I let the professionals do the seats. I'll be making the door panels aswell, one of these days. They will have the same theme as the seats.
  2. I'll take that same birthday present on the same day, aswell.
  3. I think this is it: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=100001
  4. You can say that again! I lost the big screen, 2 PS2's, speakers, a dresser, entertainment center, table, clothes dryer, vacuum and I think my a/c unit outside. Thats the list thus far. The smallest stayed on the bed. The pit and rotty loved it. I actually had the rotty out front playing while it was raining. I really want to take her to the lake. She would be a blast! The cats on the other hand....lets just say it sounding like the meow mix commercials. You would think they were afraid of floating off. All the carpet, pad and base mold are pulled now and some of the sheet rock had to be cut out. Basically, my house is a disaster area for the next 3 days at the very least. I'm staying at the mother-in-laws house till hopefully just Friday night. I'm going to try and get the foundation re-repaired while everything is apart. That should help with putting in the floating floor I want throughout the house, except 2 bedrooms. Echo's alot, but alot easier to get clean after a flood. Next year, I'm outta here!
  5. Since my house was flooded Friday night, I was hoping for some big hail in my area so while my whole house was a war zone I could get the roof fixed aswell, but we didn't get but some sprinkles.
  6. I take it that is your transverse link. I'm pretty sure that was to protect the fuel pump.
  7. This may not pertain to your '73. I can't recall. If you are having problems bolting the booster to the firewall and before you go cutting anything, try flipping it over. 180*. I don't recall if the stock vacuum line will reach or if you have to use a ZX vacuum line. I have had several years of boosters in my '74 and '77, including ZX boosters. All bolted right up. As mentioned, the push rod is the tricky part.
  8. I couldn't make it fit as a puller with my L6, but even as a pusher you could stand behind the car and feel it on your legs. Alittle shrouding to seal up the sides and your good to go.
  9. I had purchased the #19115 16" from a local speed shop and hooked it to a relay straight to the battery, switched by a thermal switch(from them) in the thermostat housing and after I installed everything I found the thermal switch was not working. They sent me another(for free) and after 6 month the fan went out. I later put a taurus fan in as a pusher on high and never had a problem, for 3 years until I pulled my Z apart. Maybe my stuff from the speed shop got dropped on it's head or something, but...
  10. It works real well for radiant heat and does pretty good with the sound proofing if you attach it good with some 3M adhesive. I also put jute down with carpet over it all. I've only driven it 3 times since getting it put back together and that was just around the block, 15mph tops. I'll have to get back with you on how quiet it is on a real road.
  11. Ft.Worth,Texas more or less. And yes the weather is great right now. Haven't had the house a/c on in acouple weeks. But BOY do I have to get the BLACK pathfinders a/c fixed soon! MMM, Corona. Now I'm thursty.
  12. Lacquer thinner soaked rag and some masking tape always works for me. It chills while it disinfects.
  13. For $150 you could probably recoup most of the money, especially if the interior panels are in good shape. Scraping a Zcar in my area would net you about $150-175, but parting it would leave you with some extra parts. And how rusty is fairly rusty? On a side note. I payed $200 for a rusty old stock '77 3 years ago. I cleaned all the electrical connections, put a floor mat in the passenger floor board(or lack there of), put $150 in tires, $40 in brake parts, used an old battery, $40 in fluids and then got it legal. I drove that thing for 2 years without a problem. I just sold that same car for $600 in January. It's now getting run into the ground, but it was a RUSTY old Zcar. It actually won "Not So Best in Show" at a Nissan dealership Zcar show. Thats how bad it was. Don't dismiss an old rusty Z car. Depending on the amount of rust, they can be a good DD and pull some good mpg numbers.
  14. Like this? It can be purchased in wider rolls.
  15. Thanks Steve, I forgot to mention that.
  16. Thanks for editing that last reply. I actually saw a flaming coming your way from your first response. Try this link. It is basically the repair manual you are waiting on. http://autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/1d/1d/4d/0900823d801d1d4d.jsp
  17. Yes. There are acouple of "extra" parts on the ZX housing, but nothing to be concerned with.
  18. Only shot I have on the web now. I'm still working on the door panels which will match the rest of the interior. I also need a dash cover and rear view mirror.
  19. To funny. Looks like lots of fun! I'm sure the neighbors loved it.
  20. I don't think she nor I will make it to the March meet. I've been sick the last week. Flu anyone? Maybe next month though. I do need to pay my dues. Tell the treasurer I'll get it in and tell everyone the mascot passed away back in Nov. I still need new tires and to make her legal, which naturally I'm broke.
  21. Try this for your Z31: http://autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/1d/1d/80/0900823d801d1d80.jsp You didn't mention if it was an auto.
