  1. There's actually a guy in my apartment complex with the 16x8 501's on the rear of his 240z. Doesn't look bad, a little too blingy for me though. I prefer the way a 15 looks.
  2. The grease cap sticks out too far on the front for the center cap to fit. You either have to run a spacer to push the wheel out or get different caps.
  3. The Aeromotive A1000 is a fuel pressure regulator. I have it.
  4. Thanks! I really didn't even plan on doing white on white, I had the white wheels on my Miata and just swapped them over. Turned out pretty good. I'll run on stock EFI for now until I can get the drift car back to track ready, and then I'll either A) build a high comp 3.1 NA and tune it with MegaSquirt or MegaSquirt the L28et, install EDIS, throw a GT35R on it, and run 15ish pounds on it. I'm hoping that doesn't take away the reliability of a daily.
  5. Right now I've got 195 50 15's on there. The tires are a little small for my liking, up front looks good but I'd prefer a 55 in the rear. They were perfect on my Miata, but I just swapped the wheels over to the Z. Back tire is flat too.
  6. The biggest issue I ran into was my fault actually. Whenever I pulled the engine harness to paint the engine bay, I lost the wire that supplies power to the main engine relay that controls the fuel injectors. So I wasn't getting any signal to the injectors. Took me a few weeks and help from a member on here to figure that one out. After that, I had the firing order wrong, but once that was fixed, it fired right up fine. The main things that held me back were time and money. Being a full time college student isn't fun in the least when it comes to working on the cars. Between this and the drift car, I run out of funds quickly. Now this is running though, and I have coilovers for it, she should get a nice drop and then I'll just daily it so I can tear the drift car apart.
  7. Wait..... So not all 81 - 84 maximas were diesels? And the 81 - 82s had bolt on brackets? I've been under some misinformation.
  8. Right now he's got it uninsured and he's not driving it. He just moved to Orange County I think and he's about to start rebuilding it for time attack or something like that. Right now he's dailying a civic so he can do a swap in the Z and a cage and stuff.
  9. The need to be from a late '80's Maxima? I was under the impression they had to be an '81 - '84.
  10. So I went to the salvage yard to pull the rear maxima caliper brackets to do a rear brake upgrade, and the caliper bracket was welded to the control arm. From the pictures I've seen, it looked like they just bolted off. It was an '83 maxima, as well. Needless to say, I'm confused. Anyone want to shed some light?
  11. No, I usually hit up the NismOkc meets in OKC. How come, are you usually at the Tulsa meets?
  12. For real. I mean, who cares if you have track-functioning suspension as long as it's comfortable and gets you from point A to point B.
  13. Probably gonna get a lot of hating for this one. But Yuta's remains one of my favorites. Flame suit on.
  14. Thanks guys! I'm pretty pumped. Just been fixing a few leaks on it and it should be streetable in a few days.
  15. The blue one on the CCW's is on Integra coilovers. What I'm about to do, actually. Just picked up some used DC2 coilovers the other day.
  16. Still gotta fix an exhaust leak at the VBand, a couple vacuum leaks, and adjust the timing a hair. She runs and moves though. Super pumped. Gotta get the battery relocation stuff today and get the battery in the hatch, and then she should be driveable.
  17. Well I dig it. I scrape speedbumps. Its whatev.
  18. I just put a set of these on my '78. Great quality. Work awesome. Way better than the old cracked and corroded ones.
  19. Not bad at all. I can't wait to get my coilovers on.
  20. He put smaller wheels and tires on it since that picture, so I imagine that helped handling some. Just trying to get an idea of whether that would be a better coilover option than modifying s13 or acura coilovers to fit. The typical S30 GC setup doesn't go low enough for me.
  21. Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to check it out. Offhand, does anyone know what the shortest shock available is? Here's a pic of the S30 I was referring to.
  22. I gotcha. I'm actually asking because I saw an S30 on another site that was supposedly running short stroke AE86 shocks with GC coilovers, and it put him at right about the ride height I want to be at. Also left plenty of suspension travel.
  23. So, I know that our strut tubes are basically metal pipes, in which strut/shock inserts slide down into, and then a spring goes over that, and a tophat is bolted on to hold it all together. Never having replaced an insert before, I'm a little unsure of how the whole thing works. But my question is, if the strut inserts are removable, can you replace them with the strut insert from a different car, as long as the O.D. of the insert is the same as the O.D. of the insert for the S30? If so, would it be simply a bolt in operation? Thank you!
  24. People have done S13 coilover swaps before plenty of times. I don't know about the edfc though.
